My son and I had a wonderful ride on the Upper Pigeon River. I was ready to go back to the start and ride the rapids again. Bekka was a great guide!

My guide, Franz really made my trip awesome, making cheesy jokes and making sure all of us had a fun time, and survived the rapids on pigeon river. I was scared but I had a blast! Thank you Franz.

This was a great adventure for newbies or somewhat experienced rafters. Very knowledgeable guides who really do most of the work. Well controlled and lots of fun. Well worth the money.

My friends and I had a great time rafting the upper Pigeon River with Big Bear! As a first time white water rafter, they took care of me and I was never scared - only thrilled. My friends who were more experienced rafter also had a great time.

Awesome time. Staff was great. Water was refreshing. They took plenty of pics and sold them for a cheap price at the end (no pressure). Would go back there every time.

Family trip over labor day weekend. Great price for the fun. They are a professional and a fun bunch of guides. We had Eddie as our guide, he was the best. He kept us all laughing the whole trip, the kids were wanting "one more time!" down the river. Eddie was able to get the boat to 'surf' a couple times at this one spot of the river which the kids really loved. They were quick to get us onto the river and just as quick getting us back. Their facilities are really nice too! They had showers available to use after the trip and great merchandise that was reasonably priced as well. They also took our pictures with the guides before the trip and upon getting back to big bear photos from our trip down the river were ready for purchase. Definitely plan on making more visits to Big Bear!

Best vacation ever! Big Bear went out of their way to show me a good time. My guides, Gabby and Franz are the real deal. I had so much fun I will def go back!

Gatlingburg/Pigeon Forge have so many rafting options. When we started planning for Labor Day we knew we were spending the weekend in TN, and we knew we wanted to go white water rafting. Only a few of us in our party of 7 had been white water rafting before. The price was good, $55 per person for a 2 hour trip. The staff was friendly when we got to the post, and talkative. Our tour guide was Rich, a 20 something male from Utah who was a rafting guru and adventurist. We LOVED our guide. He was strong enough to get us in and out of the boat by himself (after we went swimming), and was sociable. Our party had a WONDERFUL time and would recommend everyone try rafting if you are going to be in the area.

My 8 year old son and I just went here to go white water rafting. We live in NC, so we drove over for the day. We had an exceptionally good time. This is a relatively new company, but they did a great job! The price was reasonable and the people were phenomenal! The guides were very knowledgeable and fun. Can't say enough good things about this company--try them out!

My husband and I were " first timers" and we had a great time!! Our guide was the best and took our time down the river. We even one section a few times so we could "surf". We would so this again!!

Big Bear Expeditions was excellent. Our guide, Rich, was probably the best guide we’ve ever had for anything. Fun, informative - there was no question this guy loves what he does. An excellent value for what we paid. Our family was treated as if we were the only ones there that day. The river itself is a bit tame, but our guide knew how to make the best of it – and did. When we come back here, there is no question that we will be riding with Big Bear Expeditions again!

We had so much fun on this white water adventure!! Our guide knew how to hit the rapids just right. This was not our first trip, but it was by far the best! We actually took two trips while there. We went on the lower with our 3 year old grandson who had the time of his life. he LOVED it. then we went on the big one and it was amazing!! Plan on doing it again in September. Big Bear is the Best.

What a great company. If you're an advocate of putting dollars in the pockets of locals vs big corporate, this is the tour for you. We had such a great adventure. Our guide, Samantha was knowledgeable and we'll trained. River and view of the Smokies was just what we had hoped for.
