I enjoyed Loretta Lynn's Hurricane Mills original home and hearing the stories about her. However, the tour guide did not tell anything about the "ghost" that Loretta and her family had seen while living in the home. I had seen it on a special on TV and really that is the reason we visited there. Also, we were not allowed to go upstairs in the home. I enjoyed looking around the shops and the grounds but was disapointed because we didn't get the whole story of the place and were not allowed upstairs. I hope this has been changed since it has been over a year since I was there. I did buy Loretta's autographed cook book. The book is interesting as it contains stories about Loretta and her family along with the family receipes.

If you love country music history and especially Loretta and her legacy, definitely consider making this stop. The ranch has neat country shops, a tour of her former home and pieces of Tennessee history. You can also check out Loretta's museum. When we went, there was a display for Conway Twitty - so that was excellent too. We were finished with our tour and the museum and shopping all in one morning, so you don't need to devote an entire day to this attraction.

My husband and I choose to visit here during our travels through Nashville and Memphis. We visited on a Sunday in between Christmas and New Years. The museum was not opened but was able to take the tour. Not very busy - so it was nice. The tour guide was kind and she also was working the store. While waiting on other to show up for tour she gave stories and such on the ranch which was nice. She explained how Loretta herself like to pick out the merchandise for her store and wanted to make sure things were not to expensive for vistors to purchase. Really enjoyed going through the house and wow was really amazed that Loretta new how was just right out back. You could see it through the windows. I really learned a great deal there and the tour guide was great - she even took pictures for us. Would go back again - would love to see museum. If you are by there take the time and drive through - it is truly a beautiful place to see. When we left we drove around the camp grounds - it would be great to stay in one of those cabins or camp there. Stunning landscape and well kept. Beautiful home Loretta!

We were traveling from Nashville to Memphis when we saw the sign for Loretta's --- how could we go by and not check it out? Although it was closed, we were able to drive around and enjoy the absolutely beautiful and serene grounds and see Loretta's mansion. I can't give it a 5 because we can't judge the tours etc -- definitely worth a stop if you're in the area.

This was a get away for an overnight stay and it was so relaxing and enjoyable. I really loved being there and next time want to stay two nights.

Visited this place in 1980 coming back from California. Very beautiful. Got to see Loretta Lynn's home which was just across the road. Lots of acreage and a large farm house. Hurricane Mills is beautiful.

It was a interesting place to visit. But the shuttle was not wheel chair friendly so my parents could not tour the house. Or other things.

In the area for something else, and we swung through to check it out. Two of the gift shops were open, and we could drive around. It was nasty, raining and cold, but we got to see some of it. It's a great place and hopefully next time we will see more!

Liked it all except the treatment I received at the Holiday Inn Express Dickson where the manager Gina Donahue was rude to me and they charged me for a 3rd room I didn't ask for.

Our tour guide was new and still learning, but was sweet and tried to answer all questions. The big house was very interesting and I wish we could have toured more of it. The coal mine was hokey. The museum has so much stuff packed into it that you could spend hours just going through it. The reproduction of her childhood home was interesting.

The ranch is about an hour's drive west of Nashville toward Memphis but it is well worth the drive. There is so much to see at Loretta's ranch and you will not be disappointed. The land and surroundings are so gorgeous. Just sit and enjoy the views. We visited the museum before our tour. Sondra, at the front desk, was so informative. She is not an actual guide at the museum but she told us some interesting facts and answered our many questions about Loretta Lynn during our visit to the museum. Our bus tour was great. We loved seeing the replica of Loretta's childhood home and also her beautiful big home that she and her family lived in. Andy, our tour guide, was super. Loretta is lucky to have such valued employees as Sondra and Andy. The cashier in Loretta's Boutique (didn't get her name) was so friendly and nice too. I believe she said she had been employed there for over 20 years. We hope to return to Nashville in the future and will definitely visit Loretta's Ranch again.

We had a prepaid reservation to stay at the campsite, and even called ahead about 4:30 on the way in to say we were stopping to get a bite to eat. The person at the desk did not inform us that no one would be in the office when we got here. The office was locked and no instructions or provisions were made for us to check in. Additionally, there was no answer at either of the phone numbers given when we tried to call to get instructions on where we were to camp. Consequently it was getting dark when we arrived, and we drove our motor home all over the poorly lit property trying to read the unlit signs before we even found the actual campground. All of our frustration could have been avoided if the person we first reached by phone had just told us the smallest bit of information about what time the office closed, and how to check in after hours when the office was closed.

We were limited on time and knew we couldn't take the tours as we were travelling with our dog but we decided to stop by anyway; so glad we did! We drove a loop from the interstate to Patsy's memorial at Camden then east to Loretta's Ranch and back to the interstate. It was a perfect autumn day to visit with pretty fall decorations all around the grounds. Everything was just beautiful from the house, to the mill and even the horses grazing out in the pasture. All of it so well kept and clean. We picked up several very reasonably priced autographed copies of the Coal Miner's Daughter book for Christmas gifts this year. Loretta is a special lady to share her place so that her fans of all ages and backgrounds can enjoy getting closer to the Coal Miner's Daughter.
