Was visiting a friend in Saratoga Springs and she suggested a stroll and brunch at the Farmers Market... It was AMAZING.. Incredible selection of fruits, vegetables, cheeses, prepared foods and all from LOCAL vendors... A MUST SEE if spending time in Saratoga Springs.

We tasted some of the fresh produce and purchased spicy pickles, cole slaw and tried a new type of zucchini

This is a fabulous farmers market. It reminds me of the one in Charleston South Carolina. Music, gourmet food, beer, wine, crafts and produce. This market has it all.

This venue is the perfect size for a short shopping spree and to find something perfect for a gift as well. Homemade wines, Cheeses, Organic lotions and soaps, Flowers. and best of all: Organic veges! Beautiful assorted vegetables with some unusual varieties. Music is an added bonus which makes it even more pleasant. Most of the distributors are friendly and helpful. The only uncomfortable thing was big dogs in the area which is crowded to begin with. If you leave the dog home to grocery shop then....

This is a place you don't want to miss if you are in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. fromMay thru October.. On Wednesday and Saturday you will enjoy the stands offruits, vegetables and flowers. Also bakery product, meats, etc. Also Sunday has now been added at the Lincoln Bath lawn area. Larry Burke

It was a totally unexpected find to experience this farmer's market. We were staying at the Saratoga Arms across the street and the staff suggested we check out the farmers market. I am so glad we did. The selection and variety was amazing and the quality of all the produce and food was incredible. This was one of the best farmers market I have been to and only wish we lived closer so we could shop here on a weekly basis. Cant wait to get back there....

My family & myself walked down to this farmer's market which was very close to the nearby hotel we were staying in. This farmers market is quent & everything is well laid out. I suggest sampling some of the cheeses, and the yummy homemade crackers from the many wonderful vendors. I thought the prices were reasonable.

The sellers were all so friendly, there were lots of samples & a wide variety of different foods! We left there with our lunch & snacks too!

It is every Wednesday at 2Pm and Saturday morning under the permanent shelter on High Rock, just beyond the public parking lot. They have a lot of useful vegetables, cheese and bread. They also have dessert venders.Everybody goes here.

We love open markets! Everywhere we go, if there is a chance to go to a Farmers Market/Weekend Market we will be there. The weekend market in Saratoga was nice and festive. Since we just had a huge breakfast at Elizabeth's, food was not really on our mind. Nonetheless, the assortment of colors and food (almost) made us hungry again. Berries are so hard to come by in the Philippines so I hoarded blueberries, blackberries, etc. which we ate together with greek yoghurt from another stall. We also bought some cheese -- soft goat cheese and aged hard cheese (i forgot which one specifically). Last stop is some whole wheat bread. The cheese were good, although, I think for cheese the best source would still be Putnam Market (their midnight aged goat cheese gouda is unbelievable!). Regarding the bread, ugh, it was one of the worst bread we had! Extremely crumbly and doesn't even slice properly. I forget the place where we got the bread but it was one of those stall after the shed (if you're coming from the city center). The farmers market is interesting with all sort of things. But if you missed it, it's not so bad. You can always go to Putnam Market for the essentials.

There is plenty to see. There is a great variety of produce, baked goods, plants, and crafts. Dogs are allowed. I filled two bags with vegetables. Many of the booths are under sheds so you are not under the hot sun. Parking is easy because it ia next to the public lot.

I am local to Saratoga Springs and a friend and I went to the farmer's market 2 weeks ago. Love love love is what I have to say. The variety of produce, meats, cheeses, baked goods and flowers is fantastic. Bring an insulated cooler with you as I don't think you will be able to resist buying everything in sight. To tide me over, I bought a pie-cookie which is basically pie crust with fruit filling just like I used to make with my grandma when she was making full size pies. I also bought strawberries(forgot what a real strawberry tastes like-so good), fresh greens which were delicious, zucchini, artesan crackers and goat cheese. If I had thought to bring a bag, I would have purchased more items-the produce was that good. This place is dog and kid friendly and I will be back frequently. If you have a Wednesday or a Saturday morning free, go check this out. You cannot be disappointed.

The Saratoga Farmer's Market has grown over the past 10 years by leaps and bounds. For those who live close by it is a gathering place to meet friends as well as purchase great quality fruits, veges, plants, flowers, pottery, honey, yogurt, eggs, milk, fish, meet, soap, wine and bakery goods. Even if you are only visiting,,,,a great spot to grab a little nosh and a jug of maple syrup for your ride home. Enjoy!

Old McDonald had a farm...and every Wednesday and Saturday he'd fill his old Ford F-100 with produce and set up shop at the Saratoga Farmer's Market. That's the quaint feeling of this market which also has a variety of other vendors. There is fresh cream-top milk, long island seafood, greens and herbs, floral arrangements, live plants, massages, knife sharpening, baked goods, fresh coffee, omelet making, clothing, crafts, fresh meats, cheese and eggs, and live music. Kids and dogs welcomed, although, since I don't own a dog, it would be cool if you'd leave yours at home! Favorites are Kilpatrick farm for chard, fiddleheads and ramps, Balet Flowers for flower arrangements, the pretty Italian lady's sheep's milk cheeses, the Bee Guy's honey and balsamic, Dawn's unusual wild and heirloom plants, and the Milk guy and Yoghurt guy. It's a busy market and seems to get busier between 11am-1pm. The easiest walking hours are between 9am, when they ring the starting bell, to 10:30am. There is lots of parking on High Rock Ave, as well as the adjacent city lot. Try York and Henry Street for some additiional parking, but resist the temptation to park in the private apartment lot.
