We have picked the most wonderful apples for pies and other goodies for several years. This year we got 10 lbs. of blueberries, and stayed so long I thought we would get thrown out of the blueberry patch! Now they have been cleaned and turned into muffins and pies and blueberry buckle. What fun to pick your own fruit! Last year we picked raspberries which we froze and served them as Raspberry Fool just recently. Yes, they were frozen for a whole year!Love this place!

We went to Libby's for blueberry and apple picking with our 2 young sons. We had a blast. They are so friendly and my boys just loved the short golf cart ride to the orchards. On the way out we were able to watch homemade apple donuts made before our eyes. The best tasting donut I've ever eaten! They sell other items as well such as salsas, jellys, fresh apple cider and the abundance of apples/blueberries is amazing. If you're close by and can make the stop at Libby's, we definitely recommend it!

Nice apple picking and lots of blueberries. The prices are excellent. The apple cider donuts are absolutely amazing. Right out of the oil, some sugar added and into your bag. Bought a couple of each to try and we were right back in line for more to bring home. Really worth the trip just for the donuts.

Takes a little longer to get here but well worth the drive. We've gone to many an orchard in several states but this one was a real find! Friendly, immaculate rest rooms and store area. Even the fields were cleared of drops and tall grass. Great afternoon, picked 10lbs of gorgeous blueberries as well as early summer apples. Picnic area, music and don't miss the homemade donuts. Looking forward to going back later in the season for raspberries and fall apples.

We spent the day with the kids here and it is a great place for the kids to eat berry's and spend the day being kids. Libby's takes you to the best place where to pick a ride to boot. we will be making many trips back in years to come.

We ended up here because a closer farm was closed on a Friday. Libby was a bit of a drive with a detour. When we arrived we were rewarded with the first weekend if picking. The bushes are dripping with delicious fruit!! You get a golf cart ride to the ripe bushes where you have a great view of the surrounding mountains. baskets are provided. The bathrooms are very clean and odor free and have sinks with soap despite being super high-end port-a-potties. They have a misting fan that kids loved dancing with to the music playing when the picking was done. And you can try a blueberry donut. I couldn't think of anything lacking. We had a lovely time. Pick here.

Hidden away in tiny Limerick Maine this is a wonderful place to pick blueberries and apples in season, listen to live music on weekends, participate in blood drives, and eat the best homemade donuts, still warm from the fryer. Kid friendly and handicap accessible with golf carts to take you up the hill to your favorite pick sites.

I can't believe that I have never been apple picking, until today. Great weather, family and fun. They had a shuttle take you to the orchards, and then took us to the raspberry bushes. It was a great day.

Recently went to pick blueberries. Crop selection was okay.. a couple varieties available.. but the shuttle had to take us out a way to get to a decent picking area. Live background music from country singer was a nice touch. Am wondering about their pesticide use after reading review below. Pricing is more than would pay for blueberries in supermarket but nice to support a local farm.

Thank you for your comments. We apologize you left our farm with that impression. Pest control is one of the most time consuming and costly aspects to fruit farming. We are licensed by the State of Maine Board of Pesticide Control. Hours of training and meetings annually are required to maintain this license. Along with pesticide credit meetings, we attend many national and international meetings learning new techniques on pest control. We spend extensive time working closely with the University of Maine, UMass, UNH, Penn St., Cornel among other agricultural schools. We follow a strict Integrated Pest Management (IMP) program with all our products. Integrated pest management is an effective, environmentally friendly approach to pest management that relies on a combination of commonsense practices. The main goal of IPM is to reduce the need of spraying for safety, environmental and economical reasons. IPM consists of multiple steps of pest control. IPM starts with preventative measures like the removal of diseased plants/trees and setting thresholds or acceptable pest levels. With observation from our IPM agent, help from University of Maine Extension and the use of pest traps we can monitor and indentify pests. Promoting beneficial insects will help reduce targeted insect levels. Other mechanical and biological controls can be used prior to the use of spraying. We use a combination of organic and synthetic pesticides and all are biodegradable. The US EPA defines IMP: "Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is an effective and environmentally sensitive approach to pest management that relies on a combination of common-sense practices. IPM programs use current, comprehensive information on the life cycles of pests and their interaction with the environment. This information, in combination with available pest control methods, is used to manage pest damage by the most economical means, and with the least possible hazard to people, property, and the environment. The IPM approach can be applied to both agricultural and non-agricultural settings, such as the home, garden, and workplace. IPM takes advantage of all appropriate pest management options including, but not limited to, the judicious use of pesticides. In contrast, organic food production applies many of the same concepts as IPM but limits the use of pesticides to those that are produced from natural sources, as opposed to synthetic chemicals." - http://www.epa.gov/pesticides/factsheets/ipm.htmOur family takes great pride in producing the highest quality fruit for your family to enjoy. Our fruit is not only safe but contains an overwhelming health benefits. We hope you will reconsider and hope to see you again.
