bear creek trailhead

Its a nice even hike along the creek which has lots of water. Only 45 minutes to a really nice bridge over the creek which is really a river. Great for beginners.

Very beautiful hike with many open areas and spectacular views. Bear Creek has slabs of rock where the water flows over those slabs and and colors of green created by underwater moss. The wilderness boundary is reached at 1.9 miles. The hike is gradually up and easy. It is rocky in spots and at 2.6 miles it will cross the creek and continue on. There is a log just up stream from the trail that can be used for crossing but is a little challenging or with handy sandals in your pack, you may wade across the creek and continue the hike. Oh how I wish I would have brought my sandals!
