Samstown Hotel Casino in Shreveport , LA is a fantastic place to stay and enjoy the casino! The rooms are great, clean and comfortable to rest after a full day of fun. I would recommend this place to anyone who is asking information. The buffet and restaurants are great too!

This casino is set up on 3 different floors. They are all pretty small & it made me feel a little uncomfortable considering I could feel the floors vibrating on the upper 2 levels. Made me think we could all fall through at any moment. Staff is a little rude but the atmosphere is great. People are really friendly & its easy to make a new associate while playing. Would not return here though but I did enjoy myself.

We had a good time at Sam's but it isn't the same as it was a few years ago. The people aren't very friendly and there was more crud on the floor than I remembered.

This place is nice, it makes me feel as if I'm in a shopping mall. They do greet you when you come here and you will be offered a drink. There are so many slot machines and table games here. The food is good. I just don't like my crab legs cold. For some reason they serve them cold here. I was here during the Christmas time and the decorations was totally awesome. Had a real good time but I don't recall winning any money. Hubby loves this location. Don't care for the parking garage. Hate having to walk so far. Other than that this is a great place to come and enjoy. One other thing, the folks here love to hoover over your back if you go on a bonus, hate that part. Be sure to get your ticket out the machine if you go to the bathroom. Just saying! lol

We use to play here fairly often then it became another casino that was hard to get any playtime and any offers accepted such as rooms and gifts We had been down after years of not going and decide to give them another try and no luck This month they sent me a voucher to play on and seeing as we were in the area anyway decide to give them another try. We stopped in at this location about 6:30 P.M. on the 29th of Nov. They have signs every where hot hot machines and more free spins more often We started playing on the voucher and slowly by cashing out every hit we were up to 50 dollars that we could play on any machine but the voucher was used up. We then played it trying to hit a free spin or two. By now we have played roughly 370.00 back counting the voucher and the few hits we made. I put a 20 in a machine and finally on the last pull we hit our first free spin It paid us 78.00 We decided to leave with that We played a lot of machines and not one gave us a big hit of any kind they were all small 20 cents to a couple of dollars .All of that playing and only one machine with I free spins I would think there should be more than that This was the same problem we had the last time we were there no play time and no free spins I think there are some better casinos around in my opinion that you may have a better return or play time

First room I checked into had a lamp that sparked and released black smoke in the room. Management simply moved me to another room and I had to ask for 5 hours before I got a follow up. Food from room service was terrible, cold and not worth the wait or price. No way. Never again.

The Hotel/casino is downtown and central to everything. We hit it just right on time as there was the Revel Arts Festival going on a mere couple of blocks away...so easy to walk to and enjoy the day. Check in and check out was a breeze and free valet parking. The Spa there was pretty good as well. Just across the river was the Louisiana Boardwalk...full of stores and restaurants. The Hotel has bargains and by booking with them directly you can save a bundle.

I was staying here with a group of friends so we were very happy to have plenty of space in our room. The room was clean and spacious and the price wasn't too bad compared to some of the other hotels/casinos. We'll stay here again.

They used to have a senior discount at the restaurant, but discontinued it. Not being a gambler, I used to go for the food, but since have changed to another Casino for the Food.

We did gamble a little but found the casino to be very crowded - it was Saturday night. But our main purpose for the visit was to see Mickey Gilley perform - tickets were reasonably priced , started on time and the show was great - will go back in the future.

We had registered our rooms a month ago told check inn starts at 12 drive 4 hours to be told come back at 1 then 230 come back at 230 to be told 4 or 430 we have kids with us and they cant sit still all these hours st least pay for a lunch if your staff didnt come to work on top of all that the desk clerk has the nerve to have a attitude we the one sitting her waiting for over 5hours for a room and sitting here still waiting on a room.

The main reason to stay is to game. Extremely tight machines. We played for an hour and it was a bust. Now as my profle shows I'm from Nevada and I know gaming. You should at least get some play out of machines. Its not hat you have to win it just needs to take time to lose your money,

This property is great for meetings. Staff very accommodating. Provides entertainment day and night for your attendees. Bring your wallets!

Nothing to brag about. It has changed and not for the better, They need a bigger variance in slots and friendlier wait staff.
