My little boy has been on me to take him to the museum every time we pass, so I finally did. He wasn't too impressed (as I knew he wouldn't be at 6 years-old), even when I told him Hank was his stepdad's cousin. But I did enjoy looking at the pictures and news clippings again. What I enjoyed less was when I mentioned Jett Williams, the lady working there expressed her displeasure and doubt by complaining that there had never been a DNA test. I just wandered off to get away from the ages old angst that has haunted the Williams family locals.

Nice glimpse of a legend. It was so fun to drive through the neighborhood and find Hank's boyhood home. Very authentic and unpretentious. The lovely lady selling tickets answered every question we had. Reasonably priced.

The house that hold the Hank Williams Museum served as the boyhood home for Hank. It holds much memorabilia from his life time. Having been born in Butler County and the fact that my uncle personal knew Hank makes this a little special. There is much history housed in this home that truly tells the sad, tragic like of country music's most well know singer/song writer. His music will live forever. A festival is held annually in the town. Hank Williams Days is general held in June of each with many entertainers in attendance. A must see if you are in the area.

While driving my tractor- trailer on I-65 between Mobile and Montgomery ,I noticed a sign for Hank Williams Boyhood Home. Checked my GPS and it was just a mile off route. Had to see it! It was a Sunday morning, the church parking lots were full but the streets were empty. I stopped when I saw an approaching car jumped out and walked over to the car and introduced myself to Mr. Antone, the Mayor of Georgiana,Al.Really friendly guy who said that the museum is closed on Sunday but I was welcome to park my rig in front of the post office and walk around the home. Took a lot of selfies and just took in the ambience of the place. I Will return some day to tour the home. Nice town !

Everything Hank. Very educational and interesting! No frills, just simple history tastefully presented.

I grew up listening to Country music, such artists as George Jones, Merle Haggard and Buck Owens... with a special liking of the "Great Ones" such as Hank Williams, Ray Price, Loretta Lynn and Patsy Cline. I was rolling down Highway 65 yesterday with no particular schedule to keep when I spied the sign for the "Hank Williams Museum" in Georgiana, AL . I could no more have passed up the opportunity than I could have sprouted wings and flown ... so I pointed my Harley into town... and spent about two hours looking at all the displays and chatting with the nice lady in charge. it was a wonderful two hours! I shall treasure the experience for the rest of my life. It may not be a big and fancy place...but it is a Must See for any Hank fan.

We were on the way to the beach, took a route through Georgiana, Alabama, searched Trip Advisor to break up the trip, and here we were. We really didn't have too much interest in Hank Williams, just needed a break from driving. It's not the best marked place to find, but thanks to GPS we found it. It turned out to be a really interesting place, mainly because the hostess loved to talk about details from Hiram's life. Hank (Hiram) started early with music and had a knack for it. This is worth a brief stop over to to break up a long drive. Take time to talk with the hostess - she knows a lot.PS. There's a live music venue in the back that is used once per year. They should do more concerts during the year. It looks like a great setup.

If you're a Hank Williams Sr. fan or, even, a C&W fan, its an ok place to visit to remember the great one. There's not too much here - lots of photos on the walls and some memorabilia, but an ok place to stop to stretch your legs for 15 minutes or so. It may take you longer if you are a big fan.

We were on our way to the Hank Williams, Sr Museum in Montgomery when we discovered this place. We came here and it was very interesting. I would have enjoyed it more, but I had a migraine due to the heat (record heat wave); however, the rest of the group enjoyed it very much.

If you ahve seen the Hank Williams Museum and Memorial in Montgomery, then to complete the trifecta, you must visit Georgiana which is about 100 miles south, in order to see his childhood home restored as a country music museum.

Took my parents and we loved it. Very informative yet informal. Any Hank Sr fan should visit, or even just a country fan. Great value & easy to find
