Not a large place, but full of native artist work and varying exhibits. There gift store is small but I was able to purchase reasonably priced numbered prints from local artists. Plan to spend about an hour or so, plus the gift shop.

I liked a lot the beautiful way of introducing us to our culture, the Wednesday free entrance from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. , the lovely patio with a fish pond, and sculptures, the Museum Art Shop, the Theater, even the rest rooms facilities. I didn't like that there is no self parking, since they have been repairing for months, and that you cannot take photos, even without flash in the different art galleries. Enjoy the free entrance on Wednesdays!

Lots of powerful pieces. Not sure that I "liked" them or even fully understood them, but I am glad to have seen them. Well worth spending a couple of hours wandering around this.

We were wonderfully surprised to find this gem of a museum in San Juan. Very interesting Contemporary Art from Puerto Rican artists. Really enjoyed it and would suggest a visit if you have the time.

Convenient to go to if you are walking near El Morro (fort.) One current exhibit is of the works of Campeche, the first known Puerto Rican visual artist and considered by art critics as one of the best rococo artists in the Americas. Not too large, manageable. The second current exhibit is of contemporary works by various Caribbean artists. This one has a lot to take in. No admission fee.

This museum had much more modern art than I was expecting, which is not something I really appreciate well. The sculpture garden was pretty, but we spend through the museum because it just wasn't that interesting to us. There's not much else nearby, but easily walkable from our neighborhood (Ocean Park). I would go to the Museo de Las Americas instead!

we visited here last year also and enjoyed our time visiting and seeing the works of Puerto Rican artists. They have some excellent artists. We enjoyed the "Barber Shop" room with Puerto Rican artifacts and New York City artifacts with hub caps and many baseball player pictures decorating the walls. Very different but quite enjoyable. My wife ate at the gourmet restaurant located in the museum and enjoyed it very much but overpriced.

Spent an afternoon at this museum which has many examples of Puertorrican artists from different eras. The outdoor gardens were also lovely. The staff were very friendly & helpful.

I'll be honest, this museum wasn't on my to-do list for Puerto Rico. But it was raining buckets with no sign of letting up, so we weren't going to the beach or the rain forest or walking around Old San Juan, so we hopped in a cab and spent a few hours here. My companion isn't a fan of contemporary art (I am; it makes for interesting conversations!) but even he enjoyed the museum. What made this such a positive experience was the staff. To a person, they were enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and helpful. One young woman took the time to explain a painting in detail, translating important elements, and filling us in on Puerto Rican cultural traditions. She spent perhaps 15 minutes talking with us...and she wasn't the exception. We felt very welcomed and learned a lot in a comfortable way. The rain let up enough that we could enjoy a walk through the sculpture garden, which is beautiful. There is a gift shop and restaurant here as well.

Located within walking distance of the Condado coast, the Museum has a good collection of old and new Puerto Rican art, including works by José Campeche and 60s poster art wich i find very unique, the gardens are also beautiful, across the street there are several restaurants – french, italian, hindu – in case you're hungry, went there on sunday!

We came across this by accident and just wandered in. Entrance is free. The exhibition space is quite lovely, well organised. We saw two interesting exhibitions and the third was unfortunately closed. We were able to learn quite a bit about the exhibits that we did see from attendants.

This museum has small galleries with a manageable number of pieces in each. When we were there, they also were running a film festival, which was free. Don't miss the beautiful trees on the side of the building. They look like someone has poured orange and green paint down their trunks. The trees alone are worth a visit.

This museum is located in New San Juan closed to the Metropolitan Area and Plaza Las Americas, the biggest commercial center in the Caribbean.
