The Wineworks is set up in an old bank in downtown Clarksdale - really cool and laid back space. My husband and I were headed to Cottonwood for wine tasting and I remembered reading about this particular co-op. I am so glad we stopped. The tasting was reasonably priced and the selection was very good. The staff was patient, helpful, and knowledgable. Really enjoyed the samples from Chateau Tumbleweed and Saeculum Cellars. Would highly recommend visiting if you are interested in experiencing the unique variety of wines produced in Northern Arizona.

My wife and I popped into Four Eight after visiting the Copper Art Museum (which is incredible BTW) and were pleasantly surprised to find a place like this in Clarkdale, AZ. The guys definitely knew their stuff and were able to tell us lay-people more than we could understand or appreciate about all of their featured wines. They also serve a hand full of great craft beers. The atmosphere is fun and comfortable too. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area.

Try this place if you like wine, want to drink it in unusual surroundings and fancy seeing a real village/ town outside the tourist attraction of Sedona. It's about a 30- minute drive from Sedona. The place still retains the vault and wooden teller windows and railings from when it was a bank We went for a real value for money red and white combo flight. The verdejos are so unlike the ones we're used to back here in Spain and the combination of grape varieties in the reds were amazing. They do a range of Malvasia too , but we didn't get round to trying them

What a great place to enjoy a unique glass of wine! Not sure of what you'd like? Reasonably priced tasting flights come in red and white. Wonderful selection of beer as well. Don't miss out on the munchies!

First off, get yourself a glass (or a whole bottle to share) of Tumbleweed's Admiral Star Sailor. It is our new favorite wine, a rich red blend that fills the senses with a smooth, hearty feeling of well-being.The Four-Eight is a cooperative wineworks, featuring vintages bottled by up and coming winemakers in the Verde Valley and Tumbleweed is just one of the many wineries featured. Of course many of the wines of Maynard J Keenan's brands are offered as well. He's the man and the mind behind this. Then, sink deep into the cozy cushions of the sofas at the window, or the comfy wingback chairs in the center of the tasting room. Or, park yourself on the wooden bench seats cordoned off out front on historic Main Street and watch the interesting small town scenery along Historic 89A. The Four-Eight Wineworks is a chic clubhouse for locals and visitors alike. This place, formerly a bank and more recently a soda fountain/antique shop, was very thoughtfully designed to maximize your enjoyment. Playing up the town's history in mining, railroading, and the building's history as a bank (and site of a famous early 20th century heist that's re-enacted during the Clarkdale Home Tour each year), the tasting room is decorated with cool graphics, a mash-up of vintage images and street art.The staff is friendly, attentive and well-versed. Tasting flights are a great introduction to Verde Valley wines.Clarkdale is a small, sleepy historic town, and Main Street closes down early, so with the exception of special event nights and certain weekends, the winery is usually closed by 7:00pm most evenings. Don't miss it.

The theme here is young, up and coming winemakers. They showcase innovative wines by some of the most creative winemakers in Arizona. Great wines, great room, decorated like something in NYC! Get a red flight to start.

Four Eight Wineworks really outdid themselves in creating an upscale tasting room in a truly historic setting! The tasting room is located in the Town’s historic bank building, and I love their use of the old bank teller windows and their display of a check drawn on this very bank in the 1920s! They even provide some history about a long-ago bank robbery! Lots of great new local winemakers are featured here. Don’t miss it!
