沙漠植物园

植物园非常壮观,维护的很好,植物种类也多。我们在一个炎热的下午和我们的孙子一起去的。那里的Dale Chihuly玻璃植物展会让你惊叹。蝴蝶栖息地里都是从其他地方迁移过来的蝴蝶,那里有很多的解说员回答游客的问题。我们还看到很多喷泉,周围总会有长椅和座位供游客休息。那里还有非常棒的适合拍照的景点。很开心我们把微距镜头给带来了!这里绝对是个不可错过的好地方。

在节日期间在植物园里散步感觉美妙极了,特别是在园内各个地方还分布了好多卖力演出的表演者,为假日助兴了一把。你还可以在园内购买餐券,菜都很好吃,逛累了休息一下,享受一顿美食真是格外惬意。

在你常去的都是英式花园的情况下,当你沙漠的环境是是非常有意思的事情。完全不同的植物,正如你所期望的一样。同样还有很多蝴蝶、奇怪的蜂鸟、很多古怪的鹌鹑和一些槲鸡。最好坐车去那儿。我们赶上了唯一一趟开往植物园的巴士,公共汽车,还得在32度的高温下走1.2公里。但一切都是值得的。

花园和小径都美极了。我哥哥年初的时候在这举行的婚礼,那婚礼真是美得令人难以置信!这里很适合拍照,而且你可以一次性的看到所有的原生植物,非常棒。如果你想在一个地方看到所有AZ,这里是你的必去之地。

我是从加拿大来的,我们那儿植被的种类很稀少,特别是一些仙人掌、沙漠植物,这个植物园非常特别,而且对我来说很有趣。里面的植物种类非常丰富,我们还看到了兔子等动物,里面的景观让人目不暇接。我们没有看遍所有的植物,但大部分都看了。我建议大家上午过去,不然等到后面天气热了,就不想走动了。这里绝对值得一来,老少咸宜,我们看见孩子们也是玩得很开心,老年人也很喜欢。绝对值得!

A few adjectives to describe this site are Beautiful, large and scenic. The restaurant by the gift shop has great food at a fair price. I highly recommend this to anyone visiting AZ. My wife and I had a long layover and we were able to make it over to the garden without any problems.

Even if you don't think that a botanical garden is to your liking, you need to visit this one. The landscaping is beautifully done, with many types of cactus and other plants that you will not see outside the gate. Very peaceful as you wandered the many paths. The butterfly exhibit was amazing, all ages were in awe watching them. A delicious meal at Gertrude's and a visit to a very nice gift shop was the ending to an enjoyable day.

Loved this place! If you want to see MANY varied cacti up close, then this is the place to go. Bring water as you are obviously outside in the sun. But don't miss it.

This was an enjoyable afternoon excursion-well thought out and quite enjoyable. Different types of dessert vegetation -birds- bees

The Desert Botanical Gardens were absolutely gorgeous. The place is really well laid out, lots of signage and dozens of docents to answer all of your questions. It is not cheap, but for those of us from the East Coast who do not know anything about desert flora and fauna, this was remarkably beautiful and interesting spot. Plan to spend about 2 hours here and you can walk all of the paths. The entire walk is only about 1.5 miles and it is an easy stroll. We were there on the last day of February, I cannot imagine how pretty and interesting it would be to visit here when all of the plants are flowering. I was impressed by how well laid out and nice done (but not overdone) everything was. You must add this to your list of places to visit when you come to Arizona!

Very cool and learned a lot about desert botanicals. Bring water, it can get a little hot but you can refill water bottle at water stations throughout. Loved the butterfly exhibition!

For someone from Canada this was a great experience to learn about the desert. The short tour at the start by an enthusiastic volunteer was very informative. The Saguaro cactus are everywhere. Lots of opportunities for great pictures. Be prepared as there is lots of walking in the bright sun.

Only 15 min away from downtown and so worth the ride. Beautiful walking trails. Go to the butterfly exhibit if you can. Magical!

As expected, the Desert Botanical Garden has an amazing collection of plants, succulants, and cactuses. It is justifiably the premier attraction in Phoenix. For several hours, you can wander around and safely enjoy the numerous displays, even learning a bit while there. Hint: Bring a cold water bottle and there are lots of locations to refill. And don't forget your camera!

It's a sprawling place with sections that are easily walked. I brought a bottle of water but didn't need it. Plenty of cold water stations placed throughout. Beautiful and unique plants to see in a very, very well maintained environment. Volunteers pointed out a few easily missed details, like the nesting Road Runner. We visited for the plants, but were also very impressed with the high quality hardscaping, stone and tilework and structures. They definitely have a theme which works very well with the plants.
