We like to bring our grandkids here when we camp and let them run wild with their bicycles. They love to come here. It is a county park and only has water and electric

We really enjoyed staying at the park, it had canoe rentals and frisbee golf course. All sites are first come first serve so make sure you call ahead to make sure there's sites available. The campsites vary in size and are all under a lot of shade as well. The sites are all located around a bath house with showers. The bath house cleanliness could have been better but it will not deter me from staying there. The staff were all extremely accommodating and friendly. Any body trying to visit the Tampa area with an RV that wants a decent price should stay here.

At $2 to get in and for parking, this place is a bargain. There are playgrounds, birds galore to watch, you can go fishing and they have camping capabilities. You might even see an alligator from teh boardwalk.

I love Medard park. I walk my dog at Medard park at least once a week, although I only take her in the wooded areas. I've been told by park rangers not to walk my dog by the lake because it attracts the alligators!!

Nice park cost 2 dollars to get in. They have restrooms and several boat slips. Also has pavilion's. They also have a long bridge that goes across the lake and a tower to go up. Lots of alligators and birds to see. Fishing looks good too.

If you aren't here to fish and you aren't here to play on the playgrounds, you'd better be into frisbee golf because there isn't too much else. The shelters were well taken care of and during our weekend visit we saw no less than 6 birthdays being celebrated, that was neat! The boardwalk across the lake is a pleasant stroll, pity the observation tower was closed for repairs. Medard Park doesn't have any singularly compelling features, but the overall experience is pleasant.

This regional park has plenty to offer from camping, to horseback riding at the Turkey Creek riding stables nearby. There are actually hills for the kids to climb (unusual for FL), playgrounds, grassy areas, sandy beaches on the reservoir, plenty of gators in the reservoir, picnic areas, fishing, and you can kayak, but the locals will look at you like you are foolish (remember the large and plentiful gators), boat ramp. Nice place to visit for an afternoon picnic or family get together, but don't go during the summer months (May/June-Oct) because the bugs will eat you up.

A couple of buddies and I headed out there this past weekend (11/15) to play the disc golf course. What a great time. Challenging holes and beautiful scenery. The only two downsides were the large number of mosquitoes (it IS Florida woods near standing water...) on some holes and the throngs of inconsiderate groups parking on some of the course areas. Advice to avoid this: go during the week or early morning and bring mosquito repellent. Other than those minor inconveniences, we had an awesome time!

I was looking for a park to do a recent photoshoot, I would have never know to fall in love with this location. The trees are perfect and over grown plants. Only suggestion I would have is for someone to volunteer and clean up the trash (not that much, but still). The rangers are also great and polite.

Great place to have a party. Lots of things to keep the kids happy. Water is so pretty. Lots of covered pavillions, overnight camping area, boat ramps and lots of parking. No reservations for pavillions but get there early to get a good one.

Nice facility. Park picnic shelters with grills. Horseback riding nearby that goes through the park. Walking trails, bath facilities, boating and apparently camping facilities. Fishing seems to be popular. Nice playground for the younger kids.

The park, or both a park and a nature preserve, has something for everyone. a playground for the kiddies, fields for ball plaring, as well as a lot of opportunities for nature watching, especially bird watching. You will see at least several dozen different birds here. And so close to Tampa and Plant city

There something special about that old Florida look on a hot spring day that stands out. It is only a little over an hour's drive from Pinellas County, Florida -- or an hour from Orlando -- to this beautiful park in Plant City, Florida, but it feels like you've also gone back in time a million years or so. Seeing all the gators poking their heads up out of the water makes it seem prehistoric. The foliage and reservoir can be viewed nicely from the boardwalk or the tower. They also have a disc golf course for those who play. The first few holes are a bit too close to the park road for my taste, but then they go back into the trees and players actually have some hills to deal with. A great park to visit, and it only costs $2 per car to get in.

I came to the Park very often, always find a few different elements that inspired my life and my passion for the photography.

We go there to walk the (small) trails around the frisbee golf course. I have not met a child yet that does not like to explore that area!
