Woolaroc is a hidden gem in Oklahoma. One of my favorite museums in several states. The place is rustic, with a great collection, a remote, quiet location, stunning scenery. I highly recommend for history buffs of all types.

This is what memories are made of. While Woolaroc has seen better days, and while the grounds aren't quite as clean and groomed as they once were, the entire experience both in the museum and outside on the grounds, are unlike anywhere else.

Ranch on prairie. Large museum with impressive western art and large gun collection. Unique setting for booking a wedding also.

The oil men of the plains were not only gifted in building oil empires but were lavish in the legacies they left behind. No where is this culture better revealed than in the mind numbing world class museums they built and left for us to see.

Must see place if you are in northeast Oklahoma. Things for everyone!Wild animals, frontier and native art, old guns, and amazing landscape.

I made my second visit to Woolaroc. I love it there. So many animals to see. The museum is wonderful and we toured the lodge this time also. It was a beautiful warm February day. Such a nice place to visit and so interesting!!!

No matter the time of year, there is something interesting to see at Woolaroc. On our last visit, we saw a cottage style Phillips 66 retail station from the 1930's that had recently been relocated to the site. On the drive in are bison, deer, and other exotic wildlife. The museum of western art is a unique experience and includes eclectic collections from the Phillips family. The views of the Osage are spectacular and we find ourselves going back again and again.

This is one of those places that I have been going to since I was a kid. Everytime I visit Oklahoma I make a trip out here to this ranch. The Animals are what makes this place so special but I also like going inside and checking out the collections of indian art. This is a truly special place that i hope will stay around for a long long time.

The country estate of Frank Phillips, still owned by a Phillips 66 trust. Well kept estate with quite a few wild animals. Museums of American Indian and western artifacts. Must try the Buffalo Burgers while your'e here.

This is an AMAZING, not only museum, but entire historical attraction. The collections of paintings is awe inspiring! Architecture is unbelievable. The petting barn is GREAT! My wife is always like a little kid when playing with the bunnies & little cows. Out in the middle of nowhere, so peaceful. Especially when you think this used to be someone's home! You become so appreciative to those before us that took assurances for things like this & these to be preserved for us. ABSOLUTELY worth the time anytime you're near N.E. Oklahoma.

Woolaroc Museum & Wildlife preserve - the ranch of Mr. Phillips (of Phillips 66 oil fame) and his wife. Peaceful rolling hills in the middle of pretty much nowhere. You will be given an audio CD to play as you drive through the entrance to the museum (deposit it in a marked box on your way out). You are greeted by bison, deer and whatever is hanging around roaming that particular day. It isn't very expensive to get in and you tour the art collection at the museum building - mainly of Indian heritage & extremely interesting - and the "lodge" that overlooks Osage county hills and a small creek. (They also have the plane that took the first record setting flight to Hawaii hanging from the ceiling, along with much history relating to the flight.) The setting is beautiful. There is not much in the way of eats - VERY limited - (they should definitely do something about this). I recommend bringing your own picnic food to enjoy under a small covered pavilion with tables just past the entrance. There is also workable and CLEAN restrooms at that pavilion site. In season I do believe they sell "buffalo burgers" (no thanks) and a few other food items, but nothing of significance. Definitely no sit down restaurant service. It's rustic. They have a small petting zoo - emphasis on SMALL and you can walk through a small stall area to view larger animals. I was impressed with how clean the stalls were. There is also a tower you can climb for a panoramic view, if you don't have a fear of heights. You can easily spend 4 or 5 hours looking around and touring the museum and lodge (which you can only tour the main floor and outdoor porch). They have a drive through light display for Christmas which we did not know about. (Entrance fee is discounted after 5 pm for light display). We were told they serve hot chocolate and cookies in the lodge when the Christmas lights are on. It looks as if that would be a wonderful Christmas event to take the whole family through. There is also a large gift shop in the museum with interesting items, lots of books at reasonable prices and something for everyone. All in all it was a very nice leisurely day spent at Woolaroc. (It is probably more comfortable and enjoyable to go in nice weather if you plan to spend time outdoors.)

This is a must see when visiting NE Oklahoma. It's a great piece of history. During the holidays they have beautiful Christmas lights with a real cowboy or Indian all lit up riding in the woods. There is a great museum and lots of deer and buffalo on the preserve.

When you visit Oklahoma this must be one of your stops. Museum and its exhibits are first class and very informative. I have visited this beautiful ranch and wildlife preserve for more than 50 years since I was a child and it keeps getting better. The summer they do living history with actors and Christmas they light up the entire ranch and museum and offer hay rides through. When you get a chance please take the tour. You won't be disappointed!

Every Christmas season Woolaroc has a great special event on the weekends. Watch for the electric lights mounted rider. Nu

It's a great place to visit. Really fun ride out to the center. The ability to see the buffalo and other animals walking around. And the animals. And the museum is loads of fun.
