Played in UCSB baseball golf tourney. Loved the course for a scramble, a little tight on some fairways so lay up is prudent on a few holes. Greens were running quick and you definitely have to pay attention to subtleties. Beautiful vistas from on hills looking down on ocean, worth the price of admission. Great value for views and course.

The course had its beauty with the ocean and mountain views but if you really want to GOLF....can't take a divot because there is no give in the grass. I know California is having a drought so will give a little leaway here. One and done...

Well kept course, not too busy during week, priced well, and views are great! Food at the course is worth a trip for lunch.

Played on November 19. 2014. Due to the California drought, the fairways are a little brown, but in good shape. The greens were great, slow, but in great shape. The food at the snack bar was extremely expensive. At the turn, I ordered a hot dog and was advised that the cost including tax was the outrageous $6.48! I was aghast, but needed sustenance. An entire package of hot dogs doesn't even cost that much. So go for the golf, but do not go for the food!

Thank you to Rich Nahas and staff for welcoming our group of 27 ladies to your beautiful course. You made us feel so welcome from the sign at the entrance with our club logo to the personalization of the carts and scoreboard. Your attention to detail was appreciated. And thank you for working with Drew Wakefield of the Ramada Santa Barbara for making this trip seamless and fun. We all decided to be back next year!!

I'm an avid golfer, and this course left me extremely frustrated both times I've tried it. It's a tricky layout, with lots of blind shots, but there is no booklet or map available to show a golfer where to aim the ball or what distances to hit. That's an easy thing for them to fix, but more troublesome is that while the course is well-designed, with beautiful views from many holes, it wasn't maintained very well at all. Especially the greens, which are very soft, squishy, and SLOW. Putting on them was often like putting on a Tempurpedic mattress, with the ball jumping and wiggling all the way to the hole on most greens. I played from the back tees, and found that they were seldom level and are often very soft underfoot as well, so that you can't find a firm, level base for a drive. While the greens and tees seem over-watered, I found lots of dry and burned out grass spots on the fairways. The poor maintenance is a shame because the design of the course is quite good with the potential for a very challenging and enjoyable round. If they decide to spend a little money to improve the maintenance overall (and the greens in particular) then I will be happy to come back and try this course again.

The setting is the best, ample parking, easy access for wheelchairs or people who need more time walking in (not a lot of steps.)The golf course is very beautiful-there is a waterfall and pond that really sets the scene. The lemon groves and avocado trees make this also a classic California setting for a wedding/reception/or just a great golf day.The bar makes the BEST bloody Mary's, and the brunch food is great so it's also a great place for a Mother's Day brunch or breakfast. The only "con", our wedding was here and the chicken was dry (which is probably typical), all the left over food (WHICH WAS A TON), was thrown out and none was offered to us.

Our son and daughter-in-law got married last July 13, 2013 @ Old Santa Barbara Courthouse.Their wedding reception was held at the Glenn Annie Golf Club (outside) on the spacious patios with a spectacular backdrop/view. Their clubhouse had three fireplaces (including one outside). The tables were set up with white tablecloths, Chevari chairs, and umbrellas. About ten guests per table. Dinner was buffet style and delicious! The Santa Maria Tri-Tip was tender and moist. Appetizers were served promptly during the "cocktail time" and refreshments were readily available throughout the evening. The wedding cake, wedding favors, picture mementos, etc. were set up inside for guests to view. The wait staff was attentive and pleasant. The Reception went off without a hitch and the guests were all raving about the location, ambience, etc. Everything was planned from out of town, with just a brief visit from the bride and her parents. Our out of town family, friends, and guests were happy to have had the opportunity to visit Santa Barbara and attend Doug and Jenny's wedding/reception. Thanks to everyone who made it happen!

I used to work at Glen Annie for a very short period of time when I was a student at UCSB back in the day. I also grew up playing golf, and have since played many many nice golf courses across the country. Glen Annie is a solid course - bring your game. Great value, somewhere between muni in SB and Sandpiper (esp. if you are a tricounty resident). The managers here are wonderful people and want guests to be happy. Weddings are beautifully done and an incredible chef, tournaments are always organized and made fun.

Good facility but lack of summer rains had taken its toll on the fairways. Greens were in good condition. Nice lay out with elevation changes and a few blind shots but an overall good experience.

Well cared for course, nice staff, and beautiful clubhouse. We had great time here. Several blind shots, tight fairways, lots of trouble create quite a challenge. I recommend a yardage book from the pro shop. I would play here again next time I'm in the area.

As mentioned in other reviews, tight fairways, blind shots and drivable par 4 makes for a slow round. They discount the rates for locals so they come out in droves. For darn near the same price (for out of town visitors) you can sometimes get a discounted afternoon rate at Sandpiper (check golfnow.com) I was quoted 2 different rates the 2 times I called, so make sure they are quoting you the out of town rate if you are traveling. Their website is only set-up for resident rates. It is the design of the course that promotes slow play in my opinion. If your in no hurry and don't mind slow play, the course is in pretty decent shape and there are some good views from the elevated tees.

Even if you don't golf, go for lunch and enjoy the views. The ocean, the avocado groves, the landscaping...

This was our favorite course when we lived in Carpinteria/Santa Barbara. It's not super busy or expensive but it's beautiful and has a view of ocean and city. It's tucked in the avocado groves above Goleta but easy to get to off freeway exit Storke Road. We liked it for the (very) elevated tees. Now that we live in the south we REALLY miss them.

It was my birthday week, so off to Santa Barbara for golf and food. My wife and I have played Glen Annie before so it was an easy decision. Well kept, great greens and a friendly staff made for a great golf weekend. Beautiful ocean views . We played Saturday and again on Sunday. Winter even in California is a little rough on a course, Overall condition an 8 out of 10. Greens were perfect and fast. A hilly course with not a lot of flat lies. Many holes are up hill and play longer than they seem. Wind was a factor at times. Overall was a challenging yet enjoyable experience.
