I've visited this winery about 6 times, but it had been about 5 years since my last visit and Paul and Barbara didn't disappoint. The wines are good and the owners are friendly and passionate (in a good way!) about what they do. My dog even enjoyed lounging in their yard while hitched to the provided lines.the sip sip bite sip method Paul and Barbara employ can take a bit longer than other wine tastings, especially if they're crowded. The tasting fee is refundable with a purchase and prices range from the 'Under $10 Red" to the mid 30s, with most in the low 20s. A case came home and I'm looking forward to enjoying it with friends over the coming weeks.

My husband, daughter and I took a weekend trip to the Yakima Valley to do some wine tasting, and we happened upon this gem. What a great experience! I work in a tasting room in the Napa Valley, so I tend to be a bit critical whenever I go out to wineries. The winemaker was pouring the wine for us in a very cozy and comfortable, low-key tasting room. It is obvious that this guy loves what he does, and he does it very, very well. He pairs just a very small bite of food with each wine, and that worked out great. Just a fun, informative place to go. All the wines were very good, and some were exceptional, especially the Reisling. If you are planning a trip to the area, don't miss this experience!

The thing I liked best about this place was the man who did our pourings. He loves wine and it shows. He walked us through each and every wine and all in all just had good conversation and interaction about anything and everything wine related. Very relaxed and easy going. It was also very nice of them to offer our kids toys to play with while my husband and I got to enjoy our tastings. (We normally don't even try to do things like wine tastings with our children but I read about this place being kid-friendly so we decided to try.) The "winery" itself could use a little cleaning/fixing up. Not sure if they were in the middle of changing things around but it was kind of cluttered and cramped. One thing I need to make sure and clarify, however, is when you read other reviews of small bites with your samples (the sip, sip, bite, sip) please know that it is not like slices of cheese and bruschetta on a small bagette. It is like a pea size amount of gouda, one black bean with some kind of sauce and one chocolate chip. It was kind of interesting to try these things with their wines but by no means think you are going to have a little snack with your wines. :)

The mantra of Paradisos del Sol is "sip, sip, bite, sip". The first sip to cleanse your palate, the second to get a feel for the wine, the paired bite to provide complexity, and the third sip to really taste the wine after the bite opens up the flavors. It's a fun and interesting way to taste wine! The bites are really small, hardly bites at all. You get to try a variety of wines, from a dry white, to their "Zort". They have a good "Under 10 buck" white and paradiso red. The tasting fee is $5, unless you spend $20. We were a little bit under $40 for the 3 bottles we bought, but the winemaker was kind enough to waive the tasting fees. The tasting room has 2 areas so it can accommodate groups. The grounds are interesting, like a rustic farmhouse feel. There are chickens meandering the grounds.Definitely worth a stop in your wine tour!

This is the place to go if you want to learn about wine tasting and pairing wines with food. Very family friendly grounds.

I have stopped here before. A truly fun place. Very different than the other wineries. An extensive wine tasting experience and a very personal touch. The place is like someone's house that just happens to offer wine tasting. You will enter thru a garden and they sell other items, like Melons- several varieties. You have not had a melon until you try some of these. They also sell a few other fun things to take home with you. The choices of wine are numerous. You will have a hard time deciding which bottle to purchase. As with all of the winery, they charge a $5.00 tasting fee which is waived if you purchase wine. Everyone does. that is the point of the wine tasting trip. Have fun and stop at Paradisos. You have to say "I tasted paradisos".

If you're in the Zillah area wine tasting make sure you include a stop at Paradisos, which not only makes wonderful wine but offers what may be the most fun and offbeat wine tasting experience in Eastern Washington. Definitely a family operation, very laid back and friendly, and they pair each wine with a tiny tasting of different foods to help bring out the flavor of the wine. The owners are wonderful, they make the atmosphere fun. We thoroughly enjoyed our tasting here.
