lucky dog bark & brew

This is a great place for dog lovers. It offers both indoor and outdoor dog parks. Indoor offers an obstacle course, and outdoor offers a small kiddie pool. All areas have bar access, tables/benches, and plenty of TVs to watch your favorite game. I've visited Lucky's a few times and have always met very nice and friendly people.

During an overcast day when staying on Lake Norman, my wife and I googled 'dog park' in the area and found this place--it's an indoor/outdoor dog play area with a full bar and an excellent selection of drafts. Cool idea! Yes, it's a bit funky but that's expected. Dog people are friendly as always so we got to hang out and hoist a few while our dog ran around and made some friends of his own. It was hot but there was a hose, a baby pool, and a number of water bowls. If we lived in the area we'd probably go regularly--there are a good number of regulars, from what we gathered! Understandable. They do not have food but a take-out place nearby will deliver there in a hurry.

I use these guys for boarding and grooming and have tried several times to hang out and have a few beers, but it smells like a kennel inside. Staff is very friendly. I have never ordered food there. I wish my 7 year old who loves dogs could come in, but minors are not allowed.

What's better than a bar, with a focus on the dogs? The location is great...the staff is Stellar & I can't say enough about this place! Wish I lived close enough to be able to be there every day!
