We were traveling the Blue Ridge Parkway and stopped here for a chance to stretch our legs. Long hike to the falls. Beautiful falls at the end of the first trail. Could hike additional to see different view. We did that as well. Off season so we were there with only one other family.

As we made our way through the Blue Ridge Parkway we came to this attraction.My wife coaxed me into walking to the falls so I did. The walk was probably a good 4 tenths of a mile to the lower level. Another 6 or 8 tenths to the next level and the final level was another 4 tenths. After walking 1.6 miles I was a little disappointing of what I saw. A decent shot of the falls but you had to be in a certain spot to see it all. The second level was good for pictures and the lowest level you could see two falls but from the back of one of them. I enjoyed that the best. Walking to any of the falls was not for the lite exercising type person. The trails are decently kept up but there are places you need upper and lower body strength . No parts are really for handicapped people but I understand now why.

Beautiful. Well worth the hike. Easy to moderate trails. Took lots of pictures. Bugs not to bad. Felt good to stretch our legs a little, glad we did it. Sweet lady in the visitor center was very helpful with any questions.

We stayed for a new year's trip in the area a few years ago and really enjoyed the sound of the water at night. The local shop's were good, and exploring the area is fun. I would say that it would definately be more fun in the summer, but was pleasant in the winter.

Nothing more to do than hike and take pictures...Bugs will eat you alive and watch for those snakes..

Well worth the hike, for the coolness and fresh mountain air. You'll never be disappointed, going to the NC Mountains.

filled with loud families, because it is easy to get to. not true nature lovers. heard several different groups complain that you could not purchase H20 or that there were no bathrooms on the trail. could not enjoy nature. might try to go back in the off season

Lots of fun, easy to climb. Beautiful cool in summer.
