huron valley rail trail

Walking, riding, running. This trail is wide & paved. I use it multiple times a week, great for dogs, everyone is friendly.

This rail trail goes right through South Lyon with few intersections with roads. You can rollerblade, walk, run, or bike to town or connect with Kensington Metro Park or Island Lake State Park. Or keep on going past Milford near Proud Lake...

Extending along the former Grand Trunk Railroad , this 10.5 mile paved dedicated cycle route goes from South Lyon under the I-96 to connect to other trails. Alongside water and woods in part there are lots of wildlife to see. Mostly flat, but care is needed when crossing dirt and main roads.
