Just go here and have a little cup of lavender-honey ice cream. Do it now. Wonderful! You can eat it on the porch in one of their rocking chairs, smelling the lovely lavender scent that comes from their many flower beds. Good place to bring children, too; they have animals.

Nothing to see outside due to the time of year we visited, however, inside as soon as you walked in were filled with amazing aromas. Staff was very pleasant and helpful in answering questions. Nice selection of gifts and odd and ends. Also had tea, cider and coffee fresh brewing for samples.

I was taken to the Lavender Farm by a relative. The landscaping is very pretty, lots of assorted animals and you can pick your own lavender. In the warm weather they usually have lavender lemonade, which is very good. Many interesting item to browse, plenty samples and friendly sales people and they are very helpful. Will go back again.

We loved the lavender ice cream, although it's a little costly. The tour was highly enjoyable if you like herbs. We especially liked George Washington, the pardoned White House turkey. He followed us around for much of the tour.

Again, another visit to this lovely, aromatic place. Last time it was covered in snow but well worth the visit. For a gardener it was appropriately laid out and displayed. The ponies asked for my attention and I was willing to give it to them for free. Friendly staff. Good products. I'll be back.

We spent the night at a not so nice place in Harrisonburg. And while eager to leave the hotel decided to explore the area. Read of the farm on the hotel's places of interest. We got there before opening hours however the owner graciously let us in. Wow! Lots of gratitude products and information . Ended up with gifts for the whole family. Worth the drive. Only regret was the season for lavender was over.

When I asked my husband if we could stop by this lavender farm during our trip, he rolled his eyes but agreed. After the whole experience, he even admits that it was the highlight of our trip. The area is beautiful and well taken care of. We took the guided tour and it was very educational and relaxing. They did not try to rush through it and they made sure they showed the group everything around the farm. What I really appreciated was that after the tour, you are able to enjoy the farm on your own. This allowed my husband and I some quiet and relaxing photography time. They have tons of animals who are all friendly and curious. It was awesome to have the over sized turkey following our tour group around. There is also a relaxing duck pond and horses to watch in a nearby field. We were very surprised with the amount of stuff to see and do. Their shop has pretty much anything you can think of with lavender mixed in. They were even sampling a lavender coffee which my husband enjoyed. Everyone there was very friendly and welcoming. It felt like visiting someone's home who has a very large, friendly family! We will be back the next time we are in the area!

The minute you step into the shop, you're surrounded by this incredible smell! There are soaps, candles, everything made from lavender. The goats milk and lavender soaps are the best I've ever used AND smelled!! There is nothing I do not like about this place! They also have animals you can pet and hold, a beautiful pond, and acres of beautiful, fragrant lavender. A definite go to place for families with kids of all ages!!!

I can't even begin to describe how amazing this place is!!When you enter and see the lavender and then step out to smell it, it is refreshing and relaxing at once. Once you venture into the store and see everything that they have you realize you are in a special place. From the lotions, to the oils, to the cooking lavender - you can find nearly everything you need to enjoy lavender.I suggest taking the tour or just sitting on the porch and enjoying the scents. I love how Rebecca and Julie (daughter of the owner and owner) are usually there to answer any questions. The animals are there to give you smiles ( and they do). The pond and the meditation garden are beautiful and so relaxing. I can't wait to go back to visit with my whole family next year.Thank you Julie & Family :)

We stopped in our way back home after seeing the sign for White Oaks Farm. What a beautiful area and cute farm. Lots of nice items to buy at the shop. It was a cold day so we only stopped for a little bit, but plan on stopping next year when it's warm to enjoy the beautiful grounds, lavender picking and to check out the animals. Again worth stopping - especially for the lavender vanilla ice cream.

White Oak Lavender farm is a wonderful place to shop for small gifts, soaps, etc - all of it smells so good. In the spring, a wide variety of lavender plants are for sale, at harvest time, you can cut your own lavender stems. And all year round, there is a menagerie of farm animals that captivate the younger generation, including huge rabbits, a pygmy goat, sheep, chickens, and a "pardoned" Thanksgiving turkey. In the back there is a meditation labyrinth. It's a fun outing for mixed age groups because of the variety of things available.

Lavender has always been one of my favorite flower/herb/fragrances. I just never knew all the things you could make with lavender! You have to see the creativity and variety to believe it. Well worth the trip if it is a little out of your way. They are very friendly and do a lot to support the community!

We were on the way back from Shenandoah national park and saw the sign post on the way. We are so glad we decided to stop by. It is a little over 2 miles off the highway. There is big lavender farm with a Lil shop with all things lavender. The smell hits your senses soon after entering the shop. Its sooo relaxing. We ended up buying a pure lavender massage oil which I am in love with. The owners are very sweet and super friendly. Stop by if you have time, it's really worth a visit.

My family of 5 live locally, but we have never experienced White Oak Lavender Farm until Living Social had a deal. Admission for 4 & 80 you-cut-em lavender stems for $12. That was the cheapest deal I have seen & being a lavender farm I wasn't sure how impressed my 10, 4, & 2 year-old would be so I didn't want to spend a lot. It was wonderful!!! The staff is superb. The farm is beautiful. A delightful, spa-like gift shop (lots of glass-not the scene for my little ones) that had everything you can think of made from lavender. A giant checker board outside to play. A quaint little duck pond that is beyond artificial blue... we had a good laugh over that. A few animals. Horses, a turkey, chickens, some huge bunnies that you can go in their habitat & pet. The bunnies were a HUGE hit with my children! I was able to cut my 80 lavender stems, which they teach you how to do upon arrival, while my husband played checkers with the kids & then went to see the horses. They also have a nice labyrinth which would be the perfect spot to read a book. A beautiful spot for a wedding or pictures. A great spot for a mellow outing on a nice day!
