midnight brewery

I've been to Midnight Brewery several times, most recently this past weekend. I started going when they were in the old building. We often taken friends when they are in town.Beers are very good. The rotating food trucks offer good variety.

Midnight is not around much but it's a nice stop. Currently in a sort of strip mall / storage unit place just a couple miles outside Short Pump. Not much else around but the are expanding in a lot next door.Beer was decent. Basic cast of characters but only had 5 available but not dark (stout or porter) maybe the figure it's not the time of year. The had a kolsch, red, brown, pale ale , and IPA. Each good. The brown, Not My Job, was my favorite.Overall, good place but wish for more variety.

Visit brew masters Trae and Becky at this small, local brewery. Get a "flight" (small glasses of each of their beers) and enjoy the variety of beers they brew. You'll end up with a new favorite!There are a lot of Richmond microbreweries to choose from. Many have a a few standard beer types but also make trendy, infusions such as peanut butter & jelly, melon IPA, or Cran-Raspberry Sour. They sound interesting but at the end of the day, you want a smooth, satisfying, great tasting beer that begs for another sip. Any of Midnight's flagship brews are wonderful (Rockville Red, Kolsch New Beginning, Not My Job Brown Southern English Brown Ale (my favorite) , Head First Pale Ale, Oatmeal Stout, Purdy Mechanic IPA, and Cairns’ Wee Heavy Scotch Ale ) You'll want to take home a 32 oz Grunt, or 64 oz Growler bottle.They often have food trucks on site or bring your own food! They are constructing a new, larger building with plenty of seating, so bring a pizza, get a flight and enjoy some downtime in the country with friends!

Another great little local brewery. Not many seats but most came in for growler refills. They are only open limited days and hours. Flights available so you can try them all. No food available but they did have peanuts and small snacks for purchase. Especially enjoyed the kolsch. If ever back in the area will make this a definite stop.

Great tastings to be had. Selections are plentiful and tasty. Try the Rockville Red. Many. others are also worth a try

Midnight is a very small brewery that is taking advantage of the recent Virginia law change to allow serving beer without a restaurant. They have some really good beers, though inventory is constantly changing due to limited production capabilities. I like the red ale and brown ale best. They have limited hours for tasting so check the website or Facebook page before you go. The current location is in a business park in a strip office, which is not intuitive to find.
