valley view mall

My wife and I decided to do some shopping after lunch and happened upon this mall. It's kind of small but still has plenty of nice stores. Kind of seems like the kind of mall that you would drop off your kids and let them hang out with their friends but wouldn't worry them. Seems like all malls have the same stores in them besides one or two but it was clean, nice and new. Managed to spend a couple hundred dollars pretty quick so I'd say it was a success! LoL I would recommend...

Major department stores & plenty of specialty shops. Mall is ready for Chrismas and with the number of stores & kiosks available there is something for everybody.

Two levels of the typical shopping establishments found in US Malls. Fewer food locations than most malls. Nice and safe place to walk around.

Tiny mall if ya spit your on the other side. Pretty dissapointing but better than tanglewood. The puppy store is cute but wayyy overpriced. There are a lot of empty stores which blows.

Valley View mall in Roanoke, Virginia has a large selection of stores to shop from suitable for everyone. Also located in Valley View is a Food Court. So it really makes it easy to get all of your shopping done in one place.

Lots of name brand stores to choose from and some unique stores as well. Very clean and this, to me, is very important. The food is typical mall food but there is a Chick Fil A on the 2nd floor and a Buffalo Wild Wings on the 1st floor near Old Navy if you don't want buffet styles in the food court itself. Also there is a Starbucks in the Barnes & Noble, which is a nice place to grab coffee on your way out. There was some recent updating and the shops outside the book store are nice to go into as well, unique, not your usual mall stores. And like someone else mentioned there are plenty of restaurants around the mall to. So good place overall.

Mall close to good eating places and a good cinema complex.You can eat at Longhorn Steakhouse and ask for Chelsey and a New York strip is a great meal which can be shared by small UK eaters like us.

Nice size mall for this size town, the normal types of stores , clean but could use some updating showing it age , parking lot is set up a little odd.

I loved the layout of this mall and they had so many stores to choose from! Most of the top name stores you would expect to see in a mall but many others that were unique to the area. It was lots of fun to shop here. It was clean and both, the local people and the staff were welcoming and friendly. The prices seemed reasonable too.

If you can go to this mall during the week, you'll enjoy it more than if you went on a Friday afternoon or weekend. It's just too busy on the weekends with bad parking and yet again in Roanoke, taking up parking spaces for restaurants and other shops, making it harder to park anywhere near an entrance.It's got all the store most people want. A Sears ( for now as of this writing ), Penny's, Macy's, a hand full of places to grab a bite and plenty of shops for teens.There's been several attacks on customers since it opened back in 1985. I worked there as a ten and had to escort the ladies to there cars at night, at the big box store I worked at.I avoid it if I can and go to Tanglewood Mall. Yeah, it's on the other side of town and they don't have half the shops, but I can walk around there without looking over my shoulder and keeping an eye out for thieves. Five to eight minutes on I-581 and your there.

Average mall geared for women. Clean and friendly shopping. Small mall, but trendy for the area.

This Mall is very near the Residence Inn where I always stay. It is so very convenient for me loving to shop and dine,

Valley View Mall is a great mall - average in terms of malls, but a great shopping experience for a small city. That is the good news - the bad news is that the designers of this mall made a major blunder in its design. They left one end open to access and the other crippled without a two way exit to the interstate highway that runs parallel to the mall. During the Christmas shopping season it is a nightmare to get in and out of this place. You can get in easily from one end but if you want to leave - you have to either exit in the opposite direction that you came in or sit in traffic to get out the way you entered. This blunder borders on the edge of safety as the mall would be impossible to evacuate efficiently in an emergency. To make one more nervous of this issue - the mall is constantly being overflown by low flying aircraft in their final approach to the Roanoke airport runway within yards of the mall entrance. The access issue is finally being fixed, but until the second exit is expanded avoid this place during busy times.

This mall is ok for the area! It has main stores such as Macy's, Sears, JC Penny, Belk! There are other smaller retail stores but no stores such as h&m, forever 21, urban outfitters. But they do have rue 21, victoria secret, shoes, clothing and other speciality stores!This mall is nice for places to go to but nothing to scream about! Nice area with dining, other retail stores!

Mall is small but has some key stores - American Eagle, Belks, etc.
