Generally, I like this library and I have been visiting it since soon after it opened; it is clean and fairly well-managed, and is named for my former neighbor, Dusty, who was a great kid! It is in a library system with several other libraries, including Alamo, Donna, Elsa, Hidalgo, LaJoya, Mercedes, Mission, Pharr, SanJuan, and Weslaco, TX (not McAllen), so I can use my library card at any of those libraries. There are computers w/internet available for adults (and in the Children's area), and there is printing available in the adult area for a small fee. The Summer and other School Break programs for children are pretty good. (In the Summers, MANY parents seem to drop off their kiddos for the entire day and they hang out in the children's area.) There are only 2 major complaints that I have... 1) the entire library is closed to the public whenever there is a special library event scheduled during regular business hours (and you don't know about it until you drive up, park, and try to go in), and 2) the hours on the weekend are too short.
