We had a blast! Our guild was so entertaining. He shared a lot of first-hand knowledge of the carven by growing up in the area. Plus it was his first week on the job!

Had a good time. Was definitely nice for what it is. I would go back to accompany someone that had never been there before. Otherwise, there are too many other commercial caves to check out that I have not been to yet.

The Lost Sea and access to the Smokies are the only attractions at the exit. Especially for the cycle crowd. Very scenic drive and is often referred to the "back door to the Smokies".

A girlfriend and I were going to go to Ruby Falls but after asking a few locals, we found out that The Lost Sea is not only a venture through underground caverns but a beautiful lake awaits you at the bottom. Brian, the tour guide, was not only informative but very personable. We enjoyed all of the stories he told.

Even though we had been here before the family trip with kiddos was a lot of fun (they had to leave I pods and phones in the car) and they loved it .especially the boat ride at lake in bottom of the cave. Fun fun!!

The price is okay. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and kind. The boat ride was really neat. Overall, a great family outing.

We have always wanted to explore a cave! This was the perfect first time cave experience with little ones. Priced fairly, great guides too! We even walked around the site, did the trail and stopped by the village for ice cream! Great way to spend a lazy afternoon, perfect for homeschoolers too!

A great way to kill a couple of hours if you're in the area or passing through. While it's very nice I wouldn't make a long distance trek for it alone unless you were going to do the overnight trip.Price was average for this kind of entertainment but IMO the average is overpriced. $20 bucks an adult is a bit step for the short length of the tour. They ought to give you a discount at the general store or restaurant on site for such a price. Then again if they use that extra money to pay their staff properly I'm satisfied. As for the tour and staff...The tour lasted as advertised which is about an hour and 15 minutes. Our guide Colton was really good. He had his spiel down, He was quite knowledgeable on caves in general and the specifics of this cave. He was asked historical as well as biological questions and always had a good answer mixed in with corny cave humor that could be very subtle if you don't know anything about caves. The tour was nice and had a good flow. I never felt rushed even with a couple of young kids. The rest of the grounds we didn't get to enjoy. To cool for the nature hike and all the shops were closed. Can't blame them there January isn't very busy. All in all I'm happy. Everyone enjoyed this trip and I would recommend it to anyone with some time to kill.

Lots of attractions in East TN. You do not want to miss this one. The price is reasonable and there are enough unique things to make this tour worth your time. There really is a sizeable body of water and the boat ride was a highlight. The tour guide was informative and you did not feel rushed. The walk back up from the lake is quite steep and not for someone with heart or lung issues. The price is very reasonable and there was a AAA discount. There is a village of small shops. The glass blowing/works was interesting and we picked up several nice items. Easy find to find off of 75.

I've been here 3 times over my lifetime, and it never gets old. Jake was our tour guide and very friendly and funny. A must see if you are visiting Chattanooga - just an hour away. Rich history. Takes about an hour and half. Use the bathroom before the tour starts - no bathrooms in the cave.

While returning from Gatlinburg TN, we noticed a sign mentioning the "Lost Sea." We had some extra time, so we decided to spend a little extra vacation time on this attraction. The entire family really enjoyed to experience and talked about it for the rest of the trip home to Florida. A really awesome experience that every family should go and see. We had no problems, but if you're elderly and have issues climbing stairs or inclines, you may want to reconsider going down to the underground lake. But there were some elderly folks that made the journey and they enjoyed the rich history lesson as well. I am a retired military member with knee, back, & neck issues, and this journey was really easy on me. This site is a MUST SEE for anyone travelling in this vicinity, and it is fairly cheap compared to other attractions in the mountain region.

Made the 1 1/2 hour drive from Pigeon Forge. Well worth it. Great price for the tour. The sign said the tour lasted about an hour. It lasted about an hour and a half. The tour guide was very informative and did not rush anyone taking pictures. It is a strenuous walk back up but we made 3 rest stops and had benches for people to sit. Would definitely recommend it.

This tour was a great thing that we decided to do. Our tour guide was named Christine. She was funny and nice. The caves were cool and interesting. The tour also consist of a boat ride. The prices were amazingly low for a tour that was a little over an hour long.

Growing up in East TN, I heard about the Lost Sea a lot. I always thought it was really touristy, but now know what I had missed. If your kids love nature and adventure, this is a must see. Jake was our tour guide and he was amazingly patient and engaging with our son.The restaurant is great too! The young lady that worked there was super friendly and the food was good too.

Sweetwater, Tn area.. Caverns with an underground lake/sea.. complete with large Rainbow Trout. Tour is in dark cave with guide/narrator & includes short boat ride on the lake. Walking can be slightly difficult but not extreme and there are rest stop areas. There is a civil war connection which also adds to the trip and the guide will tell you about it. There is more history and facts about this place but if I tell you then you might not stop there. I can say that the year round temperature is 58 degrees. We were there in December 2014 and some people were bundled up for winter and came out perspiring. In the heat of summer you might find it comfortable or cool, depending. We were not rushed and everyone waited for those that may travel a little more slowly. A good stop.
