The Candita Clayton Gallery is a beautiful space, with elegant works. I have attended several art and photography exhibitions there and they have been very well procured, and executed. Warm and welcoming. Definitely worth a visit
Candita Clayton Gallery is a true gem tucked into the Old Pawtucket Mill building. The gallery is bright and airy and houses some truly exceptional art from a wide variety of artists. The owner is extremely friendly and knowledgable and truly passionate about what she does. If you are and art lover, this definitely should be on your list of places to visit. A great time to go is during the winter farmers market that runs in the mill building every Sunday morning and hosts local vendors from around the state. A steaming cup of coffee, a buttery croissant and beautiful art - what could be a better way to start of your Sunday?
I adore this hidden gem because entering this gallery is like entering the heart of art in Providence. You get a peek into the talent brimming from this beloved tiny state when experiencing the art lovingly and thoughtfully curated by Candita Clayton.
I love this gallery - its gorgeous and located in the historic Hope Artiste Village, a converted mill with exposed brick, high ceilings and lots of light. The art work is fantastic and the experience is far from the aloof. Candita is warm and engaging and loves sharing her artists' work with even a novice like me.
While visiting the the Winter Farmer's Market at Hope Artiste Village I came across this beautiful sun filled gallery. The collection of abstract local artists was stunning and translates well to every degree of collector. Housed in a refurbished mill building, the gallery exudes rich a history from its well traveled, original, floors to it's vaulted ceiling and enormous, multi paned windows. This is a must visit destination, especially to meet it's owner and curator Candita Clayton. She was delightful, warm and inviting to all who came in and out of the gallery while shopping at the farmers market.
