First off the list to out-of-towners...we are in Montana here. Every winter is different and opening dates and conditions vary from year to year. At Buffalo Hill you will find a beautiful PUBLIC course with reasonable fees ( this is Montana remember, not Palm Springs or Pebble Beach) and if you are up to it you can hike the course and forgo the annoying cart. Before your tee time, or after, you can have a snack or a meal (large portion spoiler alert!) at the clubhouse restaurant. Great menu offerings and attentive service. BTW, the restaurant is open almost year round and a winter meal (if you are visiting off season) by the huge fireplace (adds to the 'lodgeness' atmosphere) is very nice. Breakfast and lunch: call in advance for restaurant hours...it varies off season. Pro shop leaves a bit to be desiresd, but is adequate for my needs. I'm itchin' to get on the links! Oh, please check your attitude at the gate, thank you, or better yet, go back home.

For all you golfers out there .... this is a must golf course... Want a great workout? Walk.... Want to enjoy the day... Ride... Want great views with a challenging game? This is the place... Enjoy your game and keep your head down.

A beautiful course that was well maintained except for the greens that appeared to have winter damage as late as early August. Other Montana courses do not have the winter symptoms as late in the year.The food and beverage service was excellent and reasonably priced. Juli, a server on 8/6/14 was most accommodating and anticipated all our groups needs.

This golf course is not for the new or inexperienced. . It has several blind shot holes and fast tricky greens. That being said, it is in very good condition with only one green that was in poor condition.

It a Golf Course lunch menu. However many of the cusomers come for lunch who are not golfing. Beer variety is lacking. If you're into cheep american beers this is your place.

My son and I played this past weekend and were very disappointed in the overall condition of the course. Plenty of winter kill in the fairways and still charging full green fees. Our cart didn't run well and on numerous occasions we were ready to abandon it as it wouldn't start.All in all I would likely not come back down to play Buffalo Hills again.

This restaurant has good old fashioned coffee shop food and a good bar. Soups and burgers are very good and service is friendly and attentive. There's always a special. You'll get your coffee refilled without asking. The old log building is charming and the log fireplace keeps you warm in the winter!

We played the Cameron-9 course. No tee time required, just slide in where you can. Fairly challenging for a nine hole course.

Great golfing, the tee boxes were good, not standing in a hole or slant, greens were smooth and challenging on there hole placement . Wide fairways for all levels of golf. Best course that we golfed in Columbia falls area. Only thing is they have to eat at the snack bar is dogs and sandwiches made there. No hard liquor ? The club house is small and run by one guy,but very organized , we got dropped off at 8:30 on a week day and most of the golfers were +60 and locals, so don't think you'll be done in less than 3 hours, enjoy the course and views .

Don't get us wrong. This is not a bad golf course but compared to Northern Pines, Meadow Lake and Village Greens, it is the least fun to play. Lots of tricked up holes, very crowded on the day we played. If you are in town for multiple days, add this course to your list but if you have only one or two rounds on your schedule, book elsewhere.

A friend took several of us there for lunch. Burgers are really good and everything is reasonably priced.

They have friendly staff, a new driving range, and is a real pretty golf course. Some people don't like the course because there a several blind holes. I've seen sixsomes and more who don't care if they are holding you up.

Buffalo Hills never diissapoints, the course is always in tip top condition and the sandwich shack at the 10th tee off always has great sandwiches and beer deals.

This course is beautiful! Even better since the remodel!
