My family and I happily make the 45 minute trip to Cider Hill in the fall for an enjoyable afternoon of apple picking, hay riding and donut eating. There are quite a few North Shore farms that offer apple cider donuts but they are rarely piping hot and covered in delicious cinnamon sugar. Washed down with their own apple cider, you're sure to taste heaven. They have large apple orchards so there is always plenty of apple picking. And they offer a broad array of fresh produce in the store. Coupled with plenty of activities and farm animals, it is easy to spend a day at Cider Hill!

Cider Hill farm is more than a farm store. Yes they have fresh produce that you can buy or seasonally pick your own. They are not fully organic but they try very hard to minimize the use of harmful chemicals. They have a few animals around. In their store they have a large selection of organic products and a selection of organic prepackaged meats. The highlight of your visit will be their bake goods especially the cider donuts made on site. I can never resist them especially if they are fresh. They close before Christmas and open again in the spring. It is well worth the visit if you are in the area.

I've been shopping here for years. I love that they have cage free eggs, local meats, and of course produce. They have an awesome apple selection in the fall ... so many varieties to choose from and nice and fresh. They also make their own cider which is wonderful. They also have a refrigerator case with local cheeses, bacon, etc. Probably the biggest attraction here is the cider donuts. I don't eat many sweets, but their donuts are worth straying from your diet especially when still warm! I've never been apple picking here, but they do offer it. They're only open spring thru Thanksgiving, then closed for the winter.

Cider Hill offers not only fresh produce, some meats, fresh cheeses, but also a variety of gourmet food items and even some gift items. Pick your own, seasonal offerings, even a hydroponic greenhouse. There's always something new to explore. AND they have delicious fresh baked items, including the best cider doughnuts anywhere. Worth driving for.

The farm is family friendly especially around holidays and apple picking time. The cider donuts are great and seldom do all of them make it home.

We took the kids apple picking on Sunday, October 12th (Columbus weekend) and WOW.....lots of people! We waited in line for a good 15 minutes to get our bags for apple picking. As we started walking into the orchard we couldn't help but notice there were no apples on the trees. Everything was really picked over. So tip #1 go early in the seasonWe did find apples deep into the orchard but were confused as to what kind of apples we were picking. We did have a map and description of the apples and roughly where they were located. I think they should be more specific in labeling the trees. It would be helpful to us people who are not experts on the different types of apple's and what they look like! After picking our apples we went into the bakery to buy some of their homemade honey (which is delicious)and their orange cranberry loaf(also delicious and very moist) and some of their cider donuts we have heard so much about. But I have a issue.....I have a child that has a peanut allergy. They did clearly post a sign saying their bakery products may contain nuts. This is basically a family type of an attraction with lots of kids. With so many children having nut allergies, I think it would be a good idea to maintain a nut free area so children and adults that have allergies can enjoy the bakery products. Overall, we had a fantastic family day at Cider Hill Farm.So as I said earlierTip #1 go early in the season for the best selection of applesTip #2 wear good walking shoes or sneakers, ground is uneven Tip #3 plan on spending some cash its not cheap for apple picking or for the bakery productsTip #4 be prepared to have a very upset child that can't eat anything other than their fresh popped popcorn!

They have a great store. The best thing for me is the cidar-apple donut maker. You can watch it from start to finish and they buy them while they are still warm. There is a schedule to pick your own fruit. There is also a play area for kids. During Halloween they, have the best pumpkins.

I've been blueberry picking in the past, but the blueberries at cider hill were huge, and delicious!

Very neat place. Has a great shop with homemade donuts and a variety of other foods. You have to go inside by the register to get the cartons to pick your own berries. You can not mix the berries in the carton due to the fact that each weight is different based on the berry. So ask for the number of fruits you want to pick. We picked bluberries, strawberries, and raspberries that day so we asked for three cartons. They have chickens to feed (.25 cents) and sheep to look it. They also have a push cart to carry your fruit in and or kids to sit in as well. Make sure to try a donut and have fun!

A bit of a hike to the fields but kid friendly for picking spring to fall. My favorite for strawberry and peach picking. Also terrific place to get pumpkins in the fall.

Been going here since the Cooks first bought this farm and my grade school class would walk over from Amesbury Elementary for a field trip and some apple picking! They have the best cider and cider doughnuts in New England bar none!

Best farm ever! The produce, fruits and bakery are amazing! Top quality products and the apple cider donuts are to die for! The farm can get busy in the fall, but if you want the absolute BEST cared for apples, peaches and pears, then you have come to the right place! I am so excited the season is about to begin! Love picking strawberries in June, Blueberries in July, peaches in August and September, and then apples in the Fall! How can you not love Honeycrisp apples?? The owners Karen and Glenn Cook are such loving owners...You can tell they put their heart and souls into their farm. A must visit!!
