If you are in the Deerfield area then make sure you visit this store. As soon as you walk in the smell of chocolate hits you and if you arrive at the right time you can watch it being made. Great choice of chocolate goodies and friendly staff. We bought quite a selection to take home to the UK - but guess what we ate them before we got to New York - yummie

You can watch them make the candy through the glass & the chocolate is to die for. It's almost a treat around Christmas to get as special gifts- people will simply adore them. I really like this place for candy.

Richardson's Candy Kitchen is a gem. The moment you walk in the door, the aroma of the melting chocolate gets you. Yes, it's homemade; you can see them at work. The storefront is beautifully staged for every season and Holiday, including the candy so you have to go in to get the experience. I am lucky enough to live here so I get to enjoy the spring chocolate covered strawberries and my absolute favorite.....autumn chocolate covered caramel apples!! The staff is friendly and very patient while you walk around trying to decide what delicious morsels to have them put into your package. If you want something quick, they have ready made boxes of all sorts and they don't last long. No, I'm not related; just thrilled to be so close to a wonderful place to be able to pick up a wonderful gift or an treat for me!

The chocolate is delicious and for the most part is homemade. It can get a little pricey but its worth it!

I love just walking into this place. The smell of chocolate and candy will bring out the kid in you. The dark chocolate is my favorite. It is hard to drive past without ducking in for a cherry cordial!

The Dixies are the best. I love the dark chocolate over either pecans, walnuts, cashews and almonds. The caramel too is excellent. They have milk chocolate too.

If you want some chocolate before or after visiting Yankee Candle store in South Deerfield, then you may want to stop here. It's good chocolate, however definitely not worth a special trip.

Homemade candies, huge variety. Got a bunch of different stuff and all tasted great. Nice stop to make.

Bought their salted toffee and their chocolate-dipped pretzels. We've also had the non-pareils in milk, dark and white chocolate. Their candies are simply addictive. Their service is always friendly.

I know I'm in the minority here but this is just a candy store. The chocolates were good. The smell in the air is sweet. I really expected a little bit more of a variety but they did have an abundance of what they did offer.

Folks, Richardson's is an established pilgrim shrine of the first magnitude. Natives regularly visit this sanctuary from no less than three counties around; while knowledgeable expats exit the freeway for the sake of one more heavenly tryst in this chocolate lover's, confectionary paradise.

Leave your diet in the car because the aroma alone will cause you to gain weight in a very happy way!!

Very cute store that is much bigger from the inside than it looks from the outside. Sold EVERYTHING no matter what you were looking for. Lots of gifts and old-time candy. Would go back again.
