lake shore park

I like to come and sit by the water and listen to the radio. It is fun to watch the sea gulls and geese. The pond area is great for watching the ducks and seeing the peacocks. The kids like to roll down the hills (sled ride in the winter). There is disc golf if you like that and a nice concession stand. Sundays in the summer is Old Car shows. Nice play area for the kids.

This is a really BAD place to visit, unless you like filth. The park is poorly maintained and the attached beach is to be avoided. Of course the coal heaps and smoke stacks make for a beautiful backdrop!!!

Was there in October 2014, weather was cool and very windy. My daughter loved the playground and my oldest daughter and I enjoyed exploring the beach for shells and stuff. Will be back in the summer!

This park is well taken care of, and there are many things to do. I went to lakeshore park for the beach, but it was very small compared to how many people were squeezed on it. I would recommend going during a week day to avoid the big crowds. The facilities could be a little cleaner and more taken care of, but they aren't too bad. Other than that the park is enjoyable.

Nice view of the lake with beautiful landscaping. The pavilion is huge with nice porch swings to relax and enjoy the view. Watch out for ducks and geese on the road, they are all over the place.

Right by the lake and also has many activities for children. Good place for sledding in winter too. Many events conducted here during summer and fall. Winter lights are a good attraction too.

Having grown up in Ashtabula I have been to Lake Shore Park many times. I visited again when I was in town for a class reunion. It was nice to see that the park is even better than I remembered it when I was living there.The park is very well maintained and still has many features that make it a recreational asset for the area. The boat ramp and picnic areas are very nice and well maintained. The duck pond is one the greatest features. See the pictures I have posted of the park. With the Canadian Geese visiting as well as a peacock make it quite the bird sanctuary. With Lake Erie as a back drop this is a place to spend some leisure time with the family.

We spent a few hours here and it was so relaxing. They have picnic tables and the view of Lake Erie is so soothing and peaceful. A good place to come to escape from it all. The swings were cute too!
