The park is spread out, colorful, and so many things to see and do, The rides are fast and fun and the foods there are wonderful. The park has the only two story merry go round that i have ever seen, My family and i spent countless weekends there every summer, The only thing you need to take is your wallet, and they have foods that everyone in the would like so no need to drag a big cooler full of food and drink. Never had a bad memory of that place.

I've never been to California's Great America! This was the first time I went, and I loved it! expensive? YES! fun? EXTREMELY! it was worth every penny! I went on their new ride, Gold Striker! OMG, it was so much fun! the park was pretty close to empty, as I went on a Monday! I was able to ride all the rides, 4+ times, back to back! the one that gave me the most thrills was: THE DROPZONE! I will be coming back!

I go to Great America just about every weekend for a little while. As an annual pass holder it is easy to slip in and ride some roller coasters and slip out again. Definitely a fun place to hang out.

I have been going to GA for 20 years. Now I bring my children there often. The rides are greet the place is clean and except for the long lines on busy days, it's awesome

Great America In Santa Clara California Is great for every age group. Specially for young kids(age 3 to 9) they have a beautiful water park and rides are great. I took my son there(2 years old) he loves the water park. They have a new stadium next to the park and its beautiful.

I remember going the first week it opened I was around 9 or 10. I still like to go and look around. I don't much rides anymore. Lots have things have changed. But have good memories.

Once a year, we're in Great America. Our children outgrew the place but still they love to come and visit Great America. It's the place for kids, teenagers and even adults. Rides are enjoyable, swimming is lovable, watching shows are desirable. It's a place for everybody!

Took my niece and I hadn't really been here in 15 years. The good: a few great rides and mild crowds make it possible to have plenty of fun. The gold pass is a great value, so you don't have to sell any internal organs to pay for the visit. The bad: Several rides are getting old and losing some of their enjoyability (is that a word?). There are a lot of underutilized stores and they removed my all time favorite ride (the Tidal Wave). Bottom Line, it's not Disney and you won't feel magical, but you can definitely have a good time and get some thrills that your teens will love, and your 40 year old body might still be able to handle.

Okay ignore the ppor grammar, spelling and awful pun of the title for just a moment and let me explain why i called it this.California's Great America has a modern built, old-world feel, Wooden Rollercoaster that will knock your frickin' socks off (at high speed on tight bends). The coaster is beautifully constructed and looks amazing, when you get on to it you will observe that the carriages sit on rails, flat rails, flat steel rails. There are no underhooking wheels to go below the rails. You are strapped in quite tight, yanked up a high climb and then dropped off. So far so good. Did I mention that the rails and wheels are not attached to each other? On the turns, bumps and drops of this coaster you get real airtime, I mean REAL airtime. the coaster leaves the rails and you get a sense of flating that is not pleasant it is downright terrifying.Oh, I had best review the rest of the park. This is a well-maintained and pretty park with some good coasters. I wasn't able to get to see the full majesty as i was there as part of a special Google day so only a few rides were available. The ones I went on were very good. The park was nicely laid out and clean and the hotdogs and ice cream were everything you'd expect. However, who cares, if you can get there make sure to go on the wooden coaster, and make sure you don't go on it just after eating.

The rides are ehhh, nothing spectacular. The food is abysmal and the crowd is eclectic. The place is clean and well cared for.

I want to great America the first day it opened, and several seasons thereafter. But the last years it's gone downhill. They have maybe three roller coasters that are good, in all fairness I think the park is great for children between two and seven. For us big kids the park gets boring awful fast, years ago they had a Main Street trolley, marching bands, roving performers, really good shows with elaborate settings. They had a train that went around the perimeter of the park also. All that's gone now, including the stealth roller coaster, which was a big draw, and they removed it. Why would anybody remove something that was bringing in the people, I can't explain it. Last year I had a season pass, I thought I would give it a fair chance, I was disappointed. The food is expensive and not very good. Other parks have activities for elderly people, that escort their grandchildren to this park, there is nothing for them to do. They even have a sports bar where they serve beer, should this be in a amusement Park?

We went with some friends because we had some discounted tickets at $10 which made it a great deal, otherwise, I'd say it's a little overpriced for what they offered. The attractions were (to the bare eye) well maintained and the staff super courteous. The food offer is very limited, and just "junk food", of course overpriced since you have no alternative (one bottled water $5). Other than that, the roller coasters were fantastic and we all had a great time. Some light rain was forecasted so the park was pretty empty to our surprise and joy!

This was our first visit to this park, the layout was great, a lot of fast rides which my husband and son loved, food and drink prices are high, but that is standard at any fun park, highly recommended for a day out, and you only need one day to do it all.

If you are a guest, you can leave your car at the Hilton parking lot and walk over to Great America, saving $15.00 that you can spend at Great America! All ages of our family enjoyed Great America, especially during the Halloween month. The food court was very reasonable, and you can get free ice water with your purchase. Lots of family fun and memories. We have season tickets, so we'll book this hotel for our next Great America weekend.

Very disappointed. Went to fright fest last year so I decided to take my son to Great America's the haunt this year. We arrived at 12pm and paid 30.99 w/coupon and after we paid they told us the park closed at 5:30pm and would reopen at 7for the haunt. Then we had to pay another $30.00 to get back in. We weren't to happy but thought ok it will be worth it.Wrong..the lines for the haunted houses were awful! Only got to see 3 out of 6.We couldnt even ride the rides because we ran out of time. There were hardly any zombies or clowns running around like at fright fest. I will never waste my money there during October again.Back to discovery kingdom next year for sure!
