When you enter, there is a gift shop directly in front of you, which I assume is a sales strategy. There is a "fossil dig" for children and a dinosaur walk. There is also a museum which may frighten small children.

My 4 granddaughters were more impressed with the playground which is a fun place. Admission prices are high. If your kids love Dinosaurs then I would suggest going. Try to find coupons to reduce your cost!

I took my 3 yr old and 8 and 11 yr old and they all had fun. I had come here four years ago and enjoyed it but they have upgraded the museum and added the boneyard and another dig area. The additions added a lot more for kids to enjoy. The whole park is very well kept and clean and easy access for young and old. It is worth a stop.

We recently visited with our 18 month old. We were the only people there on a Wednesday afternoon. The place has large replicas of dinosaurs with placards telling about each one. There is also a museum with artifacts, fossils and a few more dinos that "move".

This place is great for kids to see lots of life size dinosaurs. We took a lot of photos. These is a dig for fossils and a gem hunt. Would recommend this especially for kids.

Even if you do not know anything about Dinosaurs, this place is the place to visit. You will come away with some knowledge, even souvenirs, and if a birthday or some other important date is in your calendar, you will end up buying the perfect present for that day

I visited Dinosaur World with my grown children and grandchildren in January, 2015. We followed a winding path through the hillside where we were able to view quite a number of dinosaur exhibits in the form of large statues. They were not animated, just statues, and some were definitely in need of touch-ups because of weathering, but there were three or four exhibits inside the small museum that had realistic-looking animated dinos. The children enjoyed both the statues and the animated exhibits without showing a preference for either. The other museum exhibits were fascinating for the adults and the older children. The exhibits included dinosaur eggs and bones as well as bones of other prehistoric animals. There was a "fossil dig" for the children, where they were given the opportunity to sift through a large sandbox and allowed to collect as many treasures as they wanted, but they had to select their favorite three when they were finished and they were allowed to keep those three. The fossils included small fossilized stones and animal teeth and there were plenty to go around. Charts were posted throughout the area to explain the fossils, so that helped the older kids decide on what they wanted to keep. The little ones, of course, only wanted to keep the teeth they found! Treasures and souvenirs of their trip to Dinosaur World! They were also able to "help" with an excavation in a large sandbox- type area by using paint brushes to brush away sand over a "skeleton" imbedded in the sand. There was a nice playground area with picnic tables where the children were able to unwind after all of our adventures. We had to exit through the large and expensive gift shop, which caused the only negative experience of our visit since the little ones wanted expensive toys that we were not willing to spend after paying the pricey entrance fee. Regular prices are $16.95 for adults and $11.95 for children 3-12. Children under 3 were free, but we had to pay an additional fee of $2.00 for them to participate in the fossil dig. Overall very nice experience and a fun day for all.

We were on our way to Dinosaur Valley state park and saw Dinosaur World on our way down to the entrance to the state park. It wasn't here years ago when I used to take my kids to the state park. Very fun and a great place to take your grandkids! It has an entrance fee that is not cheap but not any higher than any other typical admission like a first run movie and much less than an theme park. The dinosaurs are cool for grown ups too! They had a great souvenir and/or gift shop with everything dinosaur themed. I got a fantastic dino-T-shirt for only $16. I thought the prices were reasonable for what you get and the current market for this type of entertainment. www.dinosaurworld.com

We all take the dinosaur era for granted and do not think about the difficulties these proud animals had to face. This site was an eye opener into this time period.

This is geared primarily to small children and not worth the pricey admission. I understand there is a discount for military.

This place was rad. We just went with three grownups and no kids and had a blast. Plus all the dinosaurs were out in their habitats even though I was cold (unlike stupid Fossil Rim Safari down the road). The animatronic dinosaurs inside the museum were super rad. They have a "realistic" giant robotic diorama of a Triceratops defending its babies from a T Rex while a pterodactyl watches over them flapping it's wings and screeching. That alone was worth the admission price.

This is our second Dinosaur park. This one was more for little kids to actually see dinosaurs and not too much history and bones. These are fully constructed dinosaurs. The place is a little pricey and they do have military discount. Huge place to shop for dinosaur memorobilia. They have a sand pit where you can sift for fossils and shark teeth. The kids only get to keep 3 items that they find and its loaded with teeth and tiny fossils. Overall, it was good family fun.

We were down in Glen Rose for an overnight campout and went to the state park to see the tracks. We saw this place as it wasn't here the last time I was in Glen Rose. Looked interesting but didn't look like much. We stopped in anyway and there was tons of fun to be had. There was a museum to walk through and see all kinds of fossils. A fossil dig where the kids go to keep 3 that they found. Then a half mile loop where all kinds of dinosaur life sized models are set up with tons of info about them. Half way through is a koi pond and you can feed the fish. Pets are welcome and you can bring in food for a picnic. Also very clean restrooms ... actually everything in their park was kept very clean. Bring your kiddos and a camera lots of fun photo ops!

My family and I took a Tuesday to make the drive to Glen Rose and visit Dinosaur World. We basically had the whole place to ourselves. The staff was friendly and the walking tour was so much fun for the kiddos. They loved discovering a new dinosaur around every corner!Cute place for a family day trip!

As an adult I figured this would be kinda boring but was interested. Was surprised when told I got in free with Military ID! If you have kids they will love it, but be warned you go through a huge store FULL of toys! The museum was interesting to me, but probably not for children. I was impressed with the dinosaur walk. I learned a lot, and had no idea how many dinosaurs there were. Most are extremely lifelike, and are very well staged to look natural. Some so much so, that it was easy to imagine what it must have looked like when they roamed earth. Great photo ops. I would not suggest this trip in summer mtgs heat. It is handicap accessible. There are fossil digs, gem mining, and things for kids.
