Our whole family goes to Baggenstos farm for pumpkins and the hay maze before Halloween and then again in December to cut our own Christmas Tree. They have at least 3 different kinds of trees in varied heights and the pricing is easy to understand. They will cut it for you if you want and they will haul it to the parking lot if you need. Sometimes the little store has hot chocolate and fresh French fries as well as produce for sale. They shake the dead needles out of the trees and then wrap them in twine for easy loading and unloading. The little extra is the tree bag they give you to put under the tree when you put it up so when you're ready to remove it from your house you can pull up the bag to avoid the mess.

Great produce during the growing seasons. A fun place to take the kids for picking tomatoes. All kinds of flowers for daily arrangements. Nice people. Local honey, pickled food, garden accessories. Sunflowers and bird seed, planting materials and hanging plants. Good prices and lots to choose from.

I visit Baggenstos Farms because of their high-quality local produce -- in particular potatoes, pumpkins, and root vegetables in the autumn months. I love patronizing the folks who grow the food I eat, and frankly, the location of this place is simply stunning, particularly on a fall day with high clouds, color in the leaves, and a patchwork of sun and shadow moving over the hills and fields of Scholls. But if my kids were younger -- or when they start bringing their own kids to visit -- I'm going to love taking them to the pumpkin patch, hayrides, and corn maze at Baggenstos Farms. Judging by the hundreds of excited families in October and November, this is a great location to bring the kids out for a taste of "country living," all a short ride from suburban Sherwood, Tualatin, Tigard and the other towns that make up the southwestern edge of Portlandia.

I am not sure why this is listed in the hotel category, I asked for this wonderful farm to be listed, so here it is... My family and I visited here to get our pumpkins for this year's Halloween. There are plenty of things to see and do here. You line up for the hay ride, its free to get out to the patch where only medium pumpkins are, so you dont have to hold on to them while you wait for the return hay ride. So many pumpkins to choose from, plus, the Christmas trees are right there too, if you want to pick one for later in the season. They fresh make cider and kettle corn there, caramel corn, etc. Outside is a farm stand, that is open almost all year round with a wide variety of foods to select. There is so much to see and do for the family, and the best, is the Pumpkin Maze, if you go to their page and check out the pictures, there are overhead shots, its usually a 4 acre maze, this year was a Halloween theme, last years was in honor of the Discovery Shuttle. Just amazing!!!We visit often and buy products that they grow there... http://www.baggenstosfarms.com/
