If you're lucky enough to meet Brian in the tasting room you will be really pleased. A very knowledgeable guy with a terrific personality who knows his wine. The 2013 Ponzi Pino Gris, 2013 Ponzi Chardonnay are delicious. You will want to share it with friends and relax on your patio/porch or anywhere relaxing and take both of these with you. The 2011Ponzi Pinot Noir Reserve and the 2011 Ponzi Aurora Chardonnay are exquisite. Love the wines, love the place.

good wine but it felt like unless you were dressed for a 5 star restaurant you didn't belong here. I get that wineries need to recoup what they give in wine tasting but most places will waive the tasting fee if you buy a bottle or $30-50. This place would only waive it with a purchase of I think it was 6 bottles. The pint of vacation is to have fun and relax, not feel like you're not good enough. Save your tasting $ for somewhere else if you want to relax and have fun.

If you have not been tot he new Ponzi tasting room plan it next time you are in wine country. It is a little deceptive how far out it is when you think it is just in Sherwood but the 15 minute drive from 99 is well worth it. Gorgeous views nice seating areas, great wine pours and you can add something from their food tasting menu to pair with as well. Staff are very nice and informative without being stuffy.

Dear Grey, Thank you for your visit last fall. What a beautiful time of year to be in Oregon wine country. I'm so glad you enjoyed the wines. I am sorry to hear the service did not meet expectations. I appreciate the feedback so we can work with our team to improve. I hope you make it back to see us in the future. Cheers!

We were able to stop at six wineries on our one-day excursion SW of Portland, and the Ponzi winery was "the winner." Very nice tasting room, wonderful views, great wines, and some good charcuterie.

We were greeted by Sara whom I found to be very knowledgable, warm and friendly. There are a variety of tasting options which more than met our expectations. The pictures of the Ponzi daughters working in the vineyard at a very early age tells a compelling story of how this great winery was built from the humblest of beginnings. Ask them to tell it!

We brought 27 friends and family here and all had a wonderful time - our guide was hilarious and engaging, the samples were very generous and our quadruplet cousins loved the bocci ball court. Good times.

We stopped here immediately after leaving the airport in our rental vehicle. The beautiful view and facility was reminiscent of the Gary Farrell winery in Sonoma. Pourers were fun, and we had a delightful time watching couples playing bocce ball on one of the 2 courts. Our group purchased a case of the chard they were pouring. This says something, since our group of 6 primarily consists of red wine devotees.

Was at the Ponzi Winery for a corporate event. Can't say enough good things about the place. Lovely setting, beautiful building, great hosts and services, excellent food (especially for a large group) and of course, excellent wines. If I had one complaint I would say that if you are there for a large event, the bathrooms get a little busy at times. But overall, after having gone to vineyards all over the world, this one rates very high. (p.s. if you've ever been to Sonoma Cutrer in Sonoma you'll find a lot of similarities in the beauty of the building and the grounds.

Gorgeous building, landscaping, and views. There are two tasting to choose from; both contain whites and reds. The first is the standard, the second contains less pours but more expensive wine. This is an extremely relaxing venue both indoors and out. Indoors there are tables, sofas, a large fireplace, and a private room. Outdoors there is a covered veranda with seating and a fireplace feature as well as tables under the sky.

So we've been to Sonoma, Napa, NY State, Washington, etc. and the new Ponzi winery was one of the very nicest. A fantastic view for miles and miles. Jeff Mathews was a great host, and Rachel was also very gracious. We totally enjoyed the wine and had an antipasto to go with. Highly recommended.

The new tasting room offers contemporary architecture and amazing views. We were previous members at Ponzi, and wanted to check out the new tasting room. WOW what an upgrade from the Historic tasting room (granted we loved the closest to Portland location and old charm). The new tasting facility has definitely elevated Ponzi to a more chic strata. Whether you like that or not is up to you.

Recently constructed in a very modern taste is Ponzi's spectacular tasting room. The environment is very tastefully decorated and is an excellent use of open outdoor space. The wines speak for themselves as, in my opinion, they are extraordinary. I do not drink white wine but am pleased to say the four levels of Pinot Noir we sampled were very fine.

MAXFLITE

The Historic Estate location is quite nice, well appointed, spacious and comfortable. The wines from Ponzi are consistently excellent even with a higher price point. But the tasting of 7 wines was sparse and barely enough poured for a second sip. Then the ask was for $27! Are you kidding me? This is the most outrageous pricing I have encountered in the Willamette Valley and they don't need to do this to themselves.Granted, we sampled everything they were offering but I must complain about the pours. The host was a young man who graduated from a local community college with a degree in wine making. He was well informed, excellent at sharing information and friendly. The role of the tasting is to introduce us to different wines and explain them so don't do this skimpy dribble in a towering pinot glass and expect us to buy a thing you offer.
